If that happens, it'll be criminal. Less than a year since his Wembley heroics and that wonderful debut goal v W Ham - was in Kingsland/Northam corner and very loud celebration - and we see a player with those instincts and that movement leave, probably at a loss. All because Reed imposes a system and formation that doesn't work anymore and only employs managers like Pellegrino who are subservient. What a pitiful state of affairs. FFS, we just recieved a world record fee for a defender.

Does anyone know what it was in 2005? I don't think Nigel Quashie apologising would have made a lot of difference but at least it did show some caring, doubt if anyone than Oriol would bother. For me this is the real crime - sure, it's frustrating as a fan but we watch games, this is people's livelihoods, mortgages/rents, impacts of families. All because not of injuries to key players, or being outspent in the transfer market, this is pure ineptitude from Pellegrino, Reed and Kreuger.

What do you have to say Les to the SFC staff who will lose their jobs through the fault of your buffoonery and stubbornness?
-
What is the point of Les Reed? Knew the academy would have a lean spell but this is becoming far more than that. Terrible two years with the first team. Hard to see what is left of the 'Southampton Way'.

Inevitable that he'd go to Everton and another reality check for the deluded Chair and Vice Chair. That said, would Everton let Niasse go now? Made a real difference at Hull and was Everton's bright spot of the season early on. Raw but has some pace and power.

I'd have thought a song, if it can be sung consistently for a long period of time and overpowering the celebrating Spurs fans, would be noted by the media: 'Time to go, for Pellegrino' and repeat. Not hard to remember and if sung for 30 minutes or more non stop if we are losing heavily couldn't be missed?

Shows you how far Romeu has regressed under this idiot though, was definately a standout last year although less competition even then than previous season. I think his comments in the press - clever as didn't directly criticise MP but left us to read between the lines - showed what he thought. I think he's one of the few that cares as well.

Whilst Reed and Freddie Kreuger do my head in with their nonsense in the media and KL seems to have sold us down the river (if it leads to more investment and protects Markus's legacy my backside is a fire engine), the issue Pilchards raises has to be Pellegrino. Why would Reed want his record signings benched? Lemina has got a nagging ankle injury as well IIRC.

Not many, but then nor has Charlie either and they are the two obvious ones. JWP could come into the picture if he keeps getting goals but not pulling up trees either. Now if it was prize of ceramic minature toilet on a plinth for the worst player, we'd be spoilt for choice! Perhaps we should virtually award one on behalf of SWF at the end of the season to let the players know much we think of them...

I thought it was funny e.g. Redmond is consistently cack and consistently looks like a toddler told they won't be having the chocolate bar they grabbed at the till

Edited that for you

RIP - so sad. Was a fantastic player and would be worth a ton in today's market. With Cunningham and Batson really blazed a trail, I read the book on their emergence and experiences at WBA and the abuse they had to put up with was vile. If you want to see them in full flow, watch the Man Utd 3 WBA 5 video from 1979, Stretford End were applauding them and that WBA side for a short time were as entertaining as the Saints side under Lawrie that followed 80-85. Cyrille went on to win the Cup with Coventry and towards the end of his career was part of the Villa squad that nearly won the title in the early 90s. Sad day for football in the West Midlands and beyond.

The Forster contract was as bad a fail as the VVD 6 year deal was an earner. FF will be a millstone around the nexk next season and will eat into the parachute payments rapidly. Basically we'll have to oay him to go.

Personally, if was there I’d just leave early, like I have done at the games I’ve been to this season which have been poor bar W Ham and even that was a dire second half saved by the late pen. Glad I won’t be there as will not be the most happy place if it’s a repeat of the Boxing Day scoreline.
-
Where’s that been quoted from?

UKIP leader’s girlfriend in trouble for texts about Harry’s fiancé. Staying classy as ever
-
Quite. Hopefully not but we know so little it can’t be ruled out
-
Think supporters groups wouldn’t make a lot of difference in this instance. Unless Gao or his consortia attend games regularly, they are thousands of miles away so not much impact there. Reed and Freddie Kreuger are putting their fingers in their ears.
-
Grateful for some great times but not for selling to Gao/Lander. Still, no excuse for sending abuse to Noah or anyone else.
-
No point in Klippety risking him at our place though, I don’t think Lovren is going to lose any sleepless nights about our attack, and the chanting aimed at him will subside after Salah or Mane complete their hat-tracks
-
Empty seats. Did for Branfoot and Lowe in the end, stubborn as both were.

Reminds me of Lilley and Marsh at Headingley in 1981 a bit.

Was in a pub once after a Sunday game having a meal with my missus in the season after we went down and there was about 20 people at the bar singing the Rupert version. I think it was tied in with the Woodward link iirc

Cracking buy and great servant but reminding me of Glenn Cockerill in his slowness and getting caught on the ball. Also a great servant in the 80s. Dropped down to Orient and was quality again.

You have always a hardcore at every club who are pro club whatever happens. Hardcore who were pro Lowe, will be Stoke fans who wanted Hughes to stay etc. They’ll be small but will always be there. I don’t agree either but entitled to their view
