Tragic news - didn't know Bob, but remember the thread on here after he took his fall, and it was very obvious that he was a well liked and respected Saints fan. My thoughts and condolences to all of his family. Rest peacefully Bob.

Lets just hope that Kelvin is here for the whole of the season though - if he continues to play as he has done recently it won't go unnoticed by the gathering 'vultures'. In our current financial state we will find it hard to ward off even the most speculative of offers for our performing players.

Worrying indeed - one of the lowest attendances in the CCC tonight. Contrast our gate with the 29,743 that Derby got tonight - shows how far we have fallen.

B o l l o x, b o l l o x, b o l l o x - got in from work, absolutely b o l l o x e d, fell asleep, missed the whole damn game, woke up to find we'd won - just my luck...!!! B o l l o x, b o l l o x, b o l l o x..... Chuffed to bits though, well done lads...

The awesome Neil Jason Shipperley, absolute legend... or have I missed a space out somewhere there...!!!

Thanks for the update - interesting post. Wouldn't worry too much about the 'Walter Mitty' theory, we are well used to those on this site...! Once again though - thanks for the insight.

Just had a quick scan - looks pretty good.

Would that be the same Shearer that is now hotly tipped to take a role at Newcastle once they have been sold by Ashley...?? Umm now I wonder - Newcastle with 'loadsomoney' backing or Southampton with 'scrapingthebottomofthebarrel' backing - I wonder which one Shearer will choose eh?

Paaah...!! If we can do the mighty Doncaster Rovers at 'fortress' Keepmoat Stadium, then Norwich City on the hallowed turf that is SMS is but surely a 'walk in the park', is it not? Go get your bunting ready....

I think that if you read through some of the earlier threads today you will see that he has gone to a game in Austria somewhere. At least let they guy post his view on here first before you slate him eh - silence means nothing - he might not be home yet.

Yo - 2 - 0 (will have to dig out my correct prediction on another thread...!!!) good win, good clean sheet, only downside - injuries and perhaps the missed pen. Other than that - pretty positive.

Pheewwwwww - offside.....

Commentator - '... all rather professional and dogged stuff from Southampton' - I like it... C'mon lads - keep it tight....

Got to be the worst commentary I have ever heard - either that or most of the players and crowd are asleep... http://matchlive.canaries.premiumtv.co.uk/mlex/258741/matches/03112008/2848924/match_console.html?clubid=10355

Lose today - so what - 3 points gone - move on. No point dwelling on what might have been. Forget where we were 5 or 6 years ago - that has gone, we are now on par with the likes of Doncaster, get used to it - this is today. So if we lose, we lose to a better side on the day - but I personally think that we might do them today, 2 - 0.

The way it's going at the moment we'd struggle to get bloody Tony Christie...!!! Anybody know the way to Amoorwhatsitcalled....???

As any Trekkie (not that I am one you understand...!) will tell you the only person who can 'make it so' is Captain Jean-Luc Picard. A line that he oft used; "Make it so!" Picard's common utterance to crew to execute an order; various episodes. But I fear we are clutching at straws - not only that, I think we have become the leagues 'soft touch' and can't see anything other than a home win - by how many, after Portsmuffs trouncing the other day - who cares...!!!

I remember seeing a Dalek get its head blown off in an episode of Dr Who - there was nothing inside....
