  1. Just got in - I see we are doing ok then...!!! Just a mountain to climb and we should be good for a point eh...!!!!
  2. Very true, but the point was made by one of the commentators on Sky last night that the 'experience' could actually be detrimental. Too many hammerings is going to do absolutely naff all for the kids belief and self confidence, therefore some experiences are best not experienced if you get my drift..!!!
  3. You optimist you...! Personally after last nights performance I can't see us getting the 5 points that we are currently adrift over the course of the season...! We are woeful....
  4. Expected not to get relegated - no more, no less - we'll see....
  5. The term 'must win game' is used far to lightly and often out of context. The only real must win games are when you need the points from that (or those remaing) game(s) in order to either win the league, win the cup or avoid relegation. Forest is a big game, it's important, but it's not 'must win', nor is it the end of the season if we loose. As to whether we were lucky or not - it matters not a jot - we got the points. Win at Reading loose at home to Forest - only goes to show how unpredictable this league is, therefore nothing can be assumed because of one result. If we get relegated we get relegated - but it wont be due to any one result - likewise if we stay up you wont be able to point to one game as your banker. We will live or die over the course of the season - not by one single game.
  6. It's a key game - but it wont shape the rest of our season. We could loose but when your capable of going to places like Reading, Preston and Sheffield and getting points then nothing is going to be decided on one game. Personally I think we will beat Forest - but I don't think that will have an overbearing effect on the rest of the season. What happens in January just might though.
  7. If you honestly believe that Phil then I think that you probably did have the one over the eight...!!! Mind you - if thats true then we really are in deeeep poooooh....!
  8. Precisely - glad to see somebody has stayed on the original topic and inference. Not quite sure what the muppet is on to be honest. Most on here appear to disagree with his opening gambit and since then he has dug deeper and deeper holes with total contradictory posts. I have no idea where he claims any of his coaching knowledge from - but I personally would not wish to have him anywhere near an under 7's team let alone professing to know anything about professional coaching. Go back to post one of this thread - total bollux. Any chance of starting again now - but keeping it brief....!!!
  9. Toothless, placid & dire - not my words. Just some of the descriptives used by MLT about our display and situation during his summing up on Sky. I would think that he might have been a little reserved as well - so I wonder what he really thought...???
  10. Errrr no...!!! Their keeper could have bought his deck chair..... no joke.
  11. We are woooooofulllllll in the last 3rd.....
  12. Just hope that it doesnt get any worse now, the lads dont deserve a thrashing....
  13. Time for bed said Zebedeeeeeeeeee......
  14. Seconded - working damn well here now....
  15. How many of you would take 2 - 0 now...????
  16. Keep the faith lads - 45 minutes to go - next goal is the one that is going to dictate how this game goes methinks.... Thats assuming that there is a 'next goal' of course...!!!
  17. Good spot actually.... I didnt realise he was playing...!!!
  18. Your assumption is much much better than reality I'm afraid...!
  19. Get three back and we can get three....
  20. Probably not the best of starts...
  21. Shyttttteeeee
  22. Nice move...
  23. many thanks for the links guys - struggling with a shytty hotel link - but somethings better than naf all..!!! Yikes they nearly scored after 40 seconds...!!!!
  24. Just logged on from Hotel in Germany - anybody got a radio link lads...???
  25. That would be the same Leigh Roose who: "Roose was awarded his first international cap for Wales against Ireland on 24th February, 1900. During the game Ireland launched an attack down the right wing through Harry O'Reilly. Roose sprinted from his goalmouth and deliberately barged the Irishman into touch. Roose hit O'Reilly so hard that he was knocked unconscious. According to the rules of the time, no free-kick was awarded. As Rose later pointed out: "If a forward has to be met and charge down, do not hesitate to charge with all your might." I think that you will find that coaching methods have moved on since the turn of the century, therefore probably not the best expert witness testiment that you could of quoted. Your monologue in reply to SW is so contradictory in terms of actually explaining lots of differing basic coaching techniques and then saying that they do nothing to enhance the players ability or reflexes, that it's really not worth replying to. (Lunch break - really don't have the time (or inclination)).
