I don't mind him posting here - gives me something to wipe my feet on...

Perhaps the money men at other clubs were more than savvy to our financial plight and realised fairly early on that what they pay 2 million for whilst we are not officially in administration would probably be sold off for a fraction of the price when we are are. The vultures are gathering...
-
Fair play to the guy - would have been easy to discard your email to the rubbish bin and move on. He had the decentcy to respond explaining how his opinions were formed. Shall we still string him up from the Itchen Bridge...?

The last thing we need now is for Jan to pull off a freak result

No it wasn't - the figures that he quoted were about right actually. But the implication that the state of the club was down to the stay away fans is debatable.

If we are saying that DMG is now doing more than most of the others on the pitch then we are in deep deep shyte. Yes he is the clubs top scorer - but that is his core role within the team - kick ball into goalframe. Much as Kelvins is to keep ball out of goalframe. So therefore I would actually expect him to be the clubs top scorer as Kelvin is clubs top 'saver'. Basically it's all about effort - many say that DMG appears not to put effort in most games - they can't all be wrong - and the main thrux of yesterdays meeting appears to have borne this out. More effort DMG, more sweat & more goals - hopefully.
-
Apparently so - he has now agreed to stroll through games as opposed to ambling. Who knows, when the severity of our situation actually does manage to filter down to player level, he may agree to break sweat and perhaps even jog a while...!!!

They guy wrote about 3 paragraphs ffs - much of it true to...! It's now chip paper, doubt whether anybody really took very much notice apart from our own fans who now want to start a rebellion. For those of you that might have missed it, much bigger news items happened on this day - lets move on eh?

Perhaps a little Irish I know, but if we are going to get relegated this season, I hope we are down long before the last game of the season. I couldn't bear it going to the last game and not making it - no way. -
Errrr speak for yourself sir, some of us maybe getting on in years but I for one, am displaying no such incontinence problems thus far - thank you...!!!
-
'The boys know what to do', 'we have to work even harder I think its a fight' Right - we'll be fine now then... good meeting... can't wait for next match... Why didn't I think of that?

I have just been sitting in the Barbers shop reading the article and thought very much the same as you CS. I was also tempted to post his comments on here - you have saved me the job. Good response though - wonder if he will follow up or publish with any of the points you have made.

Whilst I agree with the majority of your post, the fact remains that Nigel was not sacked. His contract was not renewed, it should have been, but unfortunately we opted to go Dutch instead.
-
Typical - there's always somebody who wants to change the goalpost after we've started. Have you not seen the chaos that was caused on the Best A & B team thread.....

Eeerrrr 50+ and still over me....!

It would appear that this deal is now dead in the water - perhaps for the best really. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Kaka-AC-Milan-President-Insists-Manchester-City-Will-Not-Get-His-Star-Football-Player/Article/200901315206568?lpos=World_News_First_World_News_Article_Teaser_Region_2&lid=ARTICLE_15206568_Kaka%3A_AC_Milan_President_Insists_Manchester_City_Will_Not_Get_His_Star_Football_Player -
Would tend to agree with most, if not all of your post. That said - if you pay 'peanuts' you know what your gonna get.....
-
I'm pleased for both Nigel and Matt Oakley, fair play to them if they manage promotion this season. Let's be honest - they may have a good squad but you still have to do the business. Both Leeds and Forest struggled to get out - so I wonder how we will do next year.
-
Ooooo eeerrrrr standby for the 3rd degree Nathan - you sure know how to liven the evening up dontcha...!!!
-
On the one hand your saying that the product is not fit for human consumption and on the other you want to subject our children to it...!! You obviously do not work for the H&S Executive.
-
If this was the case we would be 20 points clear and certs for promotion this season - perhaps somebody ought to tell JP that goals make points - not triangles...!
-
Agreed it won't - and your probably right in that the perception is that he speaks for the majority - but, the fact remains, that is not NI's fault. You could have a Sky Sports or local station camera shoved in your face before or after a game and somebody ask you for a comment - you too might very well be percieved to be taking for the majority of the fans - but what opinion would you give. It would be largely your own. I have no problem with the aftermatch protest - as far as I am aware it was a vocal but peaceful event - and after the fare that has been served it was sort of inevitable. (The fighting is another subject entirely). NI may have differing views to ours, but as Steve has pointed out, the Trust is open for everybody to join and air their views should they so wish.
-
That would actually make a more interesting thread, coupled with do they have an 'Action Plan' to address any present 'shortcomings' that they might have identified at the club during the present time. But not knowing enough about the Trust I am unsure if they enjoy free speech and / or action - or are bound from within the Club?
-
Errr hellooooo, he didn't, hasn't and probably will not...!!! It is us here on this forum that have made the assumption that his views are representative of the majority of Saints fans. I am not particularly a supporter of NI - but in this instance, I think that it is us that need to get this 'opinion' into perspective.
