A draw....!!! ever the optimist I'm still (somewhat blindedly admittedly) holding out for all three points...!
-
Is that cause for optimism...????
-
Lots of pretty possession - no end product... plus we are the home team and therefore would expect to keep most of the ball...
-
Really should go 5 up front - give ourselves a chance of scoring at least....
-
Voice of reason at last, reading some of the stuff here you would think that there was only another 12 points available this season - way too early to be talking relegation.
-
Heart ruling head - a narrow win for us. Right now I'd actually settle for just a clean sheet, lets face it that would be progress for us. Big game for us and we need to make home games count.

There appears to be much discontent with some posters here - but no one seems to be giving any solutions to the problem. Are we now advocating that just 5 games in, we ditch the youngsters and revert to (whats left of) last years older pro's in the hope that it will all come good? Are we now suggesting that after 5 competitive games JP should be shown the door? Personally I think some are expecting just a little bit too much too soon - if we kick the kids out now - their confidence is likely to take quite a knock. This time last season there were many many posters here saying that the kids should be given the chance - now all of a sudden it appears that we are willing to cast them aside without a second thought.

Just a quick word from one of 'the muppets'. It appears quite acceptable for the originator to tell others to 'learn to read' yet totally unacceptable for me to tell him to 'learn to write' - double standards in the extreme. The point was (is) that it appears fine for him to chastise and abuse others, but he, for some reason is exempt. What you fail to realise, is that I, like many here are actually very interested in the 'snippet' that was being mooted. If you post here, be prepared to have people read and comment on your information. All that most of us were trying to do is validate exactly what was said, by whom, to whom. We are not doubting his claims at all - photo or no photo - who cares. Lets be honest if most of us spent the afternoon with a good source would we not have 'interogated' him for as much information as we could glean - I think so. Yes it decended into farce, and I played my part in it - but if you are going to throw insults to other posters about their reading ability - expect some back. Stick your head over the parapit, expect it to get shot at.

Co-Commentators (and how Claridge should be banned!)
Micky replied to Sheff Saint's topic in The Saints
I listened to the first half and to be honest thought he called it about right. Before the game started he said that we would struggle with all the kids, and need to balance it a little with experience. Fair comment - 37 seconds in he was probably proved right. After that, he gave us fair dues as the team got it down and played some decent stuff. Really can't say that I heard too much that could be construed as biased opinion. More like an old pro calling it as it was. I didn't listen to the second half, but from what I heard, and subsequently saw - I would say that he called it about right. -
Errrr the very first point that I made too Nick, we have been here before with 'horses mouth' quotes, only to then find out that the original poster heard it from a mate, who was talking to a mate, who was ordering his 15th G and T for the night. To be honest - even now, I am really none the wiser and probably more sceptical than when I read the first post.
-
Why not just answer the question that I posed in my previous post?
-
Tell you what mate - I'll make it really easy for you - because as you can see many others on here are confused as well. Who said what, to whom and when...??? Nobody's trying to drive you away - but you do seem to have become very defensive since your first post.
-
Isn't Tommac in the 'Aviation Industry', perhaps we could ask him to give us the low down on Flybe... errr then again - maybe not....!!!
-
Absolute rubbish - has nothing to do with people being muppets - purely wanting to substantiate exactly what was said. No one is doubting the fact that the originator is quite likely to be in the know, no one is doubting that he was in good company. We are merely trying to establish who said what to whom in order to clarify the original post. Has nothing whatsoever to do with being weird, more to do with being normal, and well aquainted with the standard of 'snippets' that are posted on this board. Perhaps if you paid the £5 (good value), and used the board more you would see this for youself.
-
Simply classic - you Sir, before you tell people that they need to learn how to read - need to learn how to write...!
-
Agree entirely.
-
Right - thats that then - sorted....!!!!
-
Please send me your source.... Hope that is b o l l o x though, my best mate is a Fulham fan and I would get some serious stick if he left...
-
Yet more dribble without substance. So if you never heard it from the 'horses mouth' no doubt you 'heard it from a man the heard it from the horses mouth'...! A bit like when I was in the pub I heard it from a guy that was talking to a plummer, who overheard his mate on his mobile talking to a guy about taker over or 'summit like dat'...!!! Personally I think my scenario holds more water than yours. You may be genuine - but we have been here many many times before - many of us wear the t-shirts for this particular thread, therefore you will have to forgive our scepticism. However branding us as buffoons and stating that we should think ourselves lucky that you saw fit to share this 'snippet' with us is pretty much the way that Tommac went. If you have something to say - say it, stop touting for business like a whore on a corner - being supposedly ITK holds little credence on this site - buffoon.
-
Would that be before or after Alan Shearer has 'had his go' here..!!! What a total bag of ******** thread - get a life and support the current manager and playing staff....
-
Errrr just how much time would you like us all to wait? 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 months perhaps 10 years and then you can proclaim 'I told you so'. This board was littered with such posts last season by the likes of Tommac and LLS, and it was such posts that proved to be the most popular. Unfortunately they were all total and utter garbage, and at the end of the day none of what they professed has ever materialised. It is all very well coming here sprouting such things as 'from the horses mouth' - but you do nothing but raise false hopes. So far, all your saying is that if a 'sugar daddy' hits the scene then AS would be willing to spend his (the sugar daddy's) millions in trying to make us successful - big deal, every other 'out of work' manager or 'would be' manager would probably jump at the job with significant backing behind them. You hardly appear to have 'earthshattering breaking news' - so why not break it eh? Or are you revelling about being ITK?
-
To be honest it doesn't really matter who the Chairman might be, Freddy Shepherd, whoever. All that matters is success - to the chairman and the fans. Let's be honest there is probably some pretty s h i t t y money floating around in football these days from sources that we probably wouldn't want to get too involved with. That said - we are but fickle fans, if we tastes success on the field, we rarely care who delivers it, or how it is paid for at boardroom level.
-
Calm yourself young man - I was merely pointing to the fact that you classed our opposition as 'Professional' players, whilst you seem happy to disassociate our players with any professional body. They are all professional sportsmen - yes ours are younger than most, but if you misguidedly think that other teams are going to make any sort of allowances for the fact that they have just come from the Reserve Team or the Academy - then you are sadley mistaken. Yes the kids need time to learn - I will support them to the bitter end, because I support SFC. But be in no doubt that we are not only gambling with the future of the club, but also with some of the futures of the kids. This 'baptism of fire' (and that's truely what it is for lots of our kids), could not only damage the club - but also some of the current crop of players.
-
It was a decent 'mistimed' tackle - deserved a yellow at best - no more...
