Exactly, if Villa don't sign him it would not surprise me in the least if there were several other prem sides looking to sign him anyway. I predicted some months ago that he would be in demand this season, and unless we start showing just a little bit of ambition I see little reason why he would want to stay.

Not sure what the issue is here to be honest, at least Matt is doing it at a price point that is assessable to the majority of fans, whereas the likes of Michael Owen and Robbie Savage are charging 100 dollars a pop..! Also noticed that both Claude and Laurie are also available a well.

I would love to have seen what the mood was in the changing room after the game, I envisage a lot of back slapping and high fives having maintained our prem status. I wonder how the club assesses this car crash of a season....? No doubt we'll be picking the meagre positives out of the season and not focusing too hard on the glaring negatives.

Yep, that's the incident I quoted in an earlier post. Seems I wasn't the only one who noticed it. Absolutely criminal at this level.

I still remember his first game for the club against Derby, he got caught out badly there and they scored, it was evident from the start that lack of pace would always be a problem for him in this league.

You can show me all the beautiful football, flicks and tricks that you want. The bottom line is they're worthless unless you end up with the points. I'd rather watch 'Burnley style' with points at the end than our tippy tappy, sideways, backwards no points system.

Today he was stood level with the 18 yard line with his hands on his hips, looking right across the line, and still managed to be a yard offside when the pass came... 🥺 his defending for the second goal was something you wouldn't expect your under nines to mess up. When he gets the ball in attacking areas, he stops dead, slows the game, and invariably loses it. If there is talent in there, it's rarely shown.

Why on earth would anybody with Danny's ability want to be anywhere near this club, honestly? I wouldn't blame him if he went and sat on one of the big clubs benches and just took the money. Other than embarrassment, what can we offer him?

Not least because we have no fight, bottle or character in the team. As soon as the going gets tough we collapse.

Should've scored, didn't score (as usual), the rest is history. We are so bad at the back sometimes it is actually funny.

I am pretty much in exactly the same circumstances as yourself, me and the lad get to a few home games when we visit family down south, but do more aways in and around the Midlands. I'm in Whitchurch so I might consider joining you at Gresty Road for a more old school football experience. You would think, especially after the ESL fiasco, that clubs would understand that fans are fed up of being taken advantage of.

It'll be another shit show where we flatter to deceive, we'll huff and puff without any real intent. They have quality, pace and power which will be far too much for us. I'd snap your hand off for a draw but unless that's a nil nil, highly unlikely to happen.

Yet another woeful display. Home game, tons of the ball, fashioned the square root of nothing, their keeper never made a save. Gutted for the fans who went to witness that rubbish, some of the players need to take a hard look at themselves. Not sure what Ralph's substitutes were meant to do either. Total dross from top to bottom. Schooled twice in a season by Leeds who easily whipped 5 past us without us having a shot in anger. Absolute crap.

Wishful thinking that we might win 3 in a row. Can only hope that some of ours want to prove a point after the shit show at Elland Road. Still don't think we are at their level yet though.
