We were in freefall at the end of last season, we've lost two main men in Bertrand and Ings, so ultimately start weaker than last season. Unless some serious signings happen - we'll struggle, plain and simple.

I think we all knew that - it's more a case of how bad are we. Are we 'bottom 3' bad, and if we are, what are we going to do about it?

Called this one weeks ago. It was evident from the beginning that he was not intending to stay, the new contract had been in place for some time, yet he refused to sign it. Overall though, happy with the decision the club had made, made the best of a bad situation. I will have ultimate respect for the first player, looking for a move, to come out and say 'I'll be going to the club that pays me the most wages'. Cut the bullshit.

No, it is my opinion. I don't know for sure obviously, but it is my opinion that he will be gone. I think he's been tapped up and now wants to leave. That's my opinion as well, it may of course differ from yours (which I respect) but, in my opinion JWP will leave for around 32 mil.

The Club would be obviously be peddling this line, irrespective of the actual circumstances because ultimately they want the most that they can get for him. Hate to say it, but contrary to the 40 - 50 million figures bandied around here I reckon we'll deal at about the 32 mil mark. Remember our owner has no funds to put into the club, not a pot to piss in, so the lure will be too great. Personally I think the deals been done, he's gone.

Tend to agree, never did we have a better chance to win the last WC after the draw we got, and this Euros was almost set up for us with the group we got and the home advantage, but we blew both.
