  1. My thoughts exactly. I don't particularly like VAR but the assumption that it will favour big teams seems wide of the mark to me. Very easy for referees to get swayed by the big home team claims, the crowd, the big name manager on the sidelines - take the easy option. A man in a room miles away can be much more impartial - works for the smaller team as far as I can tell.
  2. May be close to the truth, it's getting bloody comical now, refs completely lost it. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  3. Aaah my bad, Norway not Denmark, point stands. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  4. That went really well. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  5. Referees getting confused as when to use var and when not. Situation tonight where the referee blows for a penalty to Australia, VAR team review it, send it back down to the ref to look at, where she decides (rightly) that her original decision was wrong. No penalty. But had she nor blown, where would that play have naturally ended, could've been a goal to Australia, who knows. But after all the confusion play restarted with a free kick to Denmark. Settle pettle....... WHHhhooooooosssshhhhhhhhhhhh.......!!!
  7. I am not bothered what he did. Had he punched her in the nose and dragged her out by her feet I probably would be even less bothered.
  8. Friendly at Preston, excellent, only an hour and a half up the road. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  9. It's getting ridiculous, micro analysm of decisions. Fairly soon there will be nothing to talk about after the game because it will have been played in laboratory conditions. A sad day when we loose the phrase "Never a pen in a million years..." it's coming. 10. Tendency, I thought it was compulsory on here.
  11. Works every time. You can thank me for that ladies...! Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  12. We all know how this one is going to end. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  13. I'm a bit of a sheep in these situations, you know, like part of the problem and all that. But I'm more than willing to bash my keyboard very hard more than a few times if that will help...! Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  14. Unfortunately scorelines like that do little for the credibility of the woman's game, especially at a world cup final tournament. Time the organisers had a rethink. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  15. Any chance of sharing mate, my man in Kenya has failed to come through. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  16. Is there nobody from Kenya that already has the fixtures? Surely there's somebody. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  17. Damn, we appear to have lost out on Hazard as well, who has opted for Real Madrid instead. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
  18. Christmas? We normally call it after a single game, surely.
  19. Agree with every word. The World Cup provided nothing more than a false dawn really. If we were that good then that was the time to win it, in my life time I doubt we will have a better chance, but as soon as we came up against quality we lost it. As someone above said 'they think they are better than they are', again I totally agree, the players and coaching staff need to reassess - because we aint that good. As for 'the system', well if it don't work don't do it. Playing out from the back is all very well if you have players that are technically good enough to do it. We don't, the mistakes aside, even when Maguire tried to come forward with the ball, he invariably lost it and then had to scamper back. If we are not going to scrap the system, at least tweak it to a system that everybody is happy with and capable of playing. Unfortunately I think that the WC Semi was the high for this England team and we are about to revert to type - it's all down hill from here.

  21. Bloody awful. Had a fair amount of the ball, but showed no intent whatsoever. That was crap. You cannot play an international match camped in your own half and expect to win. Can somebody also point out to the players that when you are losing you need to show a sense of urgency, not continue to play as though you're three goals to the good. God we we're shyte, glorious semi final defeat again. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  22. To be fair we've been pretty average all game. Got a pen from their mistake, but after that, have we worked their goalkeeper, I don't think so. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
