This. People look at the points difference and say "oh it's possible for the other teams to make up 7+ pts etc", but that's not how form works. Sure, we are more than capable of becoming very **** again (I don't think out squad is top half prem at all) but then 2 to 3 other teams have to then put together Champions League form and that just doesn't happen.
-
Far too sensible. Behave yourself. The FA will introduce a tiddlywinks play-off combined with a shin kicking competition AFTER 10 replays have been had. Followed by Silver Goal.
-
Adams made a couple of good chances it seems and whilst I am still unconvinced by him, he's been good foil for Ings.... Sometimes. He's strong and quick, let's hope he gets one and then just flies. But his other contributions are often good... And sometimes **** (Pompey he was dreadful).
-
8 points and would take a hell of a turnaround in form from us (downwards) and those below us to turn that around. But what a result, looking forward to MOTD tonight.
-
I don't particularly rate him it has to be said but he's played the loan striker role very well today.
-
He's the best Shane Long impersonator we've ever had.
-
Every ****ing time. Redmond is, and always has been, a waste of space
-
I mean if you put really **** pegs, in round holes this is what you get. Ralph did such an excellent job last season, and whilst the players are totally to blame, he's not helping by putting CM as RBs, and RBs as Lbs. Have we played the same defence all season? Also drop JWP, Redmond and any number of 9 other players.
-
Ahem. I mean I didn't mean for Cedric but I'll take it
-
This. All this. I don't understand how a manager who got it so right last season is getting it so wrong this. Bin off JWP and Rebmond, both awful despite the love in on here. Get Boufal on, and **** Stephens off altogether. I mean, Yoshida is **** but he's a different level.
-
This. Chambers is laughable, Cork would be an improvement on JWP just but the others aren't better than what we have, as hard as that is to believe. EDIT: actually scrap that anything is an improvement on our CBs so yeah just about Stephens. Ugh that's damning.

Well, they're not are they and previously held the record for biggest tanking this year so... That said I am not overly optimistic either but we do need to beat both Newcastle and Watford and could do with beating Everton too. But if we keep picking the same bland defensive three in midfield, messing with defence) and not giving the creating elements in our team the chance to thrive we won't score enough goals let alone get enough points. Keeping them out should be something of a priority too.

Yeahhhhhh. Ummm this. WTAF?
-
This echoes my thoughts on him. Not sure a good performance against a championship team has actually changed my mind but he displayed the attributes, or potential, of a good striker.
-
Please let it be this.
-
This sums the game up, not just Djenepo. No idea why our defence keeps changing and Djenepo isn't a ****ing left back. Mind you, neither is Vest. Generally nice going forwards. Awful at the back.
-
I found it a bit hit and miss in terms of consistency too. Sure there's everything you could want on there football wise but the streams wouldn't always work 90mins.
-
Not sure if this is a typo, I've misunderstood or what but no, he hasn't. Moi = 701 mins Sims = 136 this season and 509 in total. Stats according to fotmob.
-
My God this a thousand times. We are so bloody pedestrian at times it's criminal. We've needed pace in midfield since forever and it wouldn't go amiss up front also.
-
He has no end product because uh, he's produced nothing (0 goals and assists). Those stats are also bull**** when you consider that he's been successful with exactly half of his dribbling attempts (stats I've already produced). It's that simple. And if you think otherwise, you're the one severely lacking in intelligence. Also, 'playing as well as he ever has', is hardly ****ing high praise is it. I guess some people are impressed with mediocrity.
-
Lol probably saying the same thing then. TO be honest I'd rather have Boufal than either and then Armstrong. The rest though are just so embarrassingly poor it's not worth arguing about.
-
This is basically it, yeah. But I have to say Redmond gets more of a free ticket than most and has never produced anything to suggest he's a competent Prem midfielder.
-
More mess. Redmond doesn't actually have any pace. He's actually not that rapid. He also doesn't drag players out of position because they know he'll run down a blind alley. The only reason he's ever gotten a look in is because he's English. If he was foreign he would have been left out in the rain after his dismal performances with Norwich. Funny how Boufal was never afforded this kind of patience or loyalty. Also this isn't advocating the inclusion of JWP either, who's also average. To be fair both are average prem players and we are a below average team so we're getting exactly what we deserve but lets not actually pretend either are any good, we've been doing that for years and with little to show for it.
-
He does indeed. There's actual substance to what he says as opposed to 'keep ball' and 'pass it'.
