The level of Saints-relatedness here is just overwhelming. I might start a new thread about the last episode of Dr Who. And which teams might play in "Ice Warrior" green next season. Pls move the thread, mods.

Sweet. Wish I'd thought of that.

Realistic target placing next season - current squad?

What more proof could you need?

Probably only 2 or 3 points IMHO. But that may yet be too many to destroy the yo-yo strategy. Our failure to get relegated this season will haunt the club for years.
-
Swansea 23 Saints 0 If we lose by any less, the yo-yo strategy is in bits. We may even have to get players sent off or actually try to shoot past Boruc to get the strategy back on track.

It's all %s, Turkish. What would you say our chances are of finishing in the top ten? Clearly, not zero. But not 100% either. I'd say about 25%. What odds would you say Saints are to finish top 10 or top 8 or top 6 next season? I'd say 40%, 15% and 5%. Sorry to sound so nerdy statto, but it ain't a "Yes/No". Someone who says "no chance" and is proven right is as mad as someone who says a fair coin won't come up heads and is proven right.

I have £1,000 on Saints to "not be relegated", which I put down after the first 6 or 7 games. I'm feeling confident.

Horrible stuff. Made even sicker by the police/state cover-up. I remember thinking I'd never go to football after it. But I am of the view, I'm afraid, that it's time to move on. About 2,000 people every year die in British road accidents. They don't tend to get remembered 24 years on.

Hmmm...can I say Lambert for POTS and Morgan for YPOTS?
-
Bless. What an idiot. But bless. Just bless.

Cortese out. Disgraceful.

I'm not sure I really want to qualify...but can someone tell me what exactly needs to slip into place for us to do so?

Is extending the ground at the end of next season actually true?
SaintBobby replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
It seems to me - just on the face of it, I don't have a costed business plan - that there are other smarter ways of expanding the revenue stream (our merchandising arm is pretty feeble, for example - is it actually possible to buy a Saints shirt in any retail outlet outside of Southampton?) -
Because FA Cup winning captain Peter Rodrigues is 69 years old. And Welsh. HTH :-)
-
Classic. Just classic.

Genuine question - do you think, in retrospect, Wolves have made a mistake in spending so much money expanding their stadium. You used to hold them up as a shining example. -
This. Very much this. Used to be cute and amusing. Now it's just eye-rollingly dull.

If QPR go down, are their finances so bad that they might have to make a contribution to the wages of players they sell on? E.g. If Remy is on £70K a week, might they have to pay £10K or £20K of this to get him off the books?
-
Bookies make us about 66/1 to be relegated and about 2/1 to finish in the top 10. So if they are right, the latter is unlikely but not very unlikely.
-
Pretty good set of results - barring Liverpool failing to beat West Ham. Am definitely looking upwards, we're a general 66/1 to be relegated. As any racing pundit will tell, 66/1 shots never come in...:-) (P.S. Am listening to Saggy on Radio 5 now, joyous stuff. He's practically in tears. Wonderful stuff.)
-
Sticks in my gut to say it, but a QPR win please. Especially given the Villa win today. I want some daylight. Fulham to lose or draw too, please. Newcastle aren't going down, so am just trying to maximise our chances of a high place finish.
-
If we win this, that will be 4 on the spin. So, ain't gonna happen, is it? Is it?

Saints 2 Reading 0 - Post Match Reactions

When did we last win 3 Premier League games in a row? -
Our first season of "mid table mediocrity" in years. And I'm delighted. We're basically safe now. The last game of the season may be crucial - but if so, it will be crucial for Stoke.
