  1. we have to go for it now, game is there for the taking.Win here and a draw on tuesday and we are fine. Our biggest 45 mins forva few years coming up. 1-0 Yoshida header Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  2. We really shouldn't be worrying about Stoke. We need to be getting four points anyway which should be enough to finish above them with goal difference. Plus that factors in them beating Swansea. Swansea and Huddersfield are the teams we should be hoping drop points. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. a lot will rest on the earlier games. Still trying to work out how we are still in this, we were near enough gone before kick off yesterday. A point might not be a complete disaster here. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. just got the insurance bets on. 10er on Swansea or draw at 7/1 and 20 on Swansea to score next at 33/10. Should ensure they don't get a result. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  5. however **** we have been, there is no doubt we are right back in the mix. Really didn't see this happening but Huddersfield right back in it and quite possibly West Ham too. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  6. anyone got one spare tomorrow? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  7. Alonso given 3 game ban for violent conduct. Shame it wasn't spotted during the actual game. Does this include the cup game? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  8. Think we need to focus on ourselves before worrying about others. If I was a fan of any of the the other sides I'd be looking at Southampton and not being worried about them. When was the last time they won a game? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  9. I'm thinking relegation isn't all doom and gloom. More competitive and more regular games in midweek. Let's face it, we've had a good run and under Koeman were not too far off of CL qualification. We've had a (extremely disappointing) campaign in the Europa league and a Wembley final. For a club like ourselves we've done ok. The PL has become boring in the last couple of seasons; there really isn't even a middle tier, its the top 5/6 then a whole host of relatively poor sides. Ultimately, Les Reed has taken his obsession with 'The Southampton Way' and the business model too far. He has become arrogant and complacent in the last two years. This is what has cost us. So we head down in slight crisis, but if Reed leaves I am sure we can rebuild and come again. I think the gap is just too big now to make up. We seem to forget we are incapable of winning games as it is, and seem to be working on the assumption others around us won't pick up points. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  10. Almost forgotten about Carrillo. Feel a bit sorry for him but it highlights how incompetent Les Reed has become. An absolutely reckless signing. Strong looking Chelsea team but they seem to have given up a bit (much like ourselves). Praying for a win today but its difficult to see it. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  11. well you're seemingly the most intelligent guy on here so thought you may have worked it out. I was referring to survival from relegation. I believe we must win today to keep our hopes alive. But then of course I'm sure you will be quick to point out how this is not the case as there are still 15 points to play for after today. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. This really is our last chance, even a draw may not be enough with our rivals' fixtures. We need a bit of inspiration from somewhere and the sort of performance we've not seen at home for two years. It's a big ask but just hoping Hughes can get the best out of us. Massive day tomorrow. It's been a shocking season but lets all get behind the team. COYR Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. Hopefully Hughes will mix things up but I fear it is too late. It does seem that the only players who give a **** are the likes of Austin, JWP, Yoshida and Long. I'd play all of them today. At least they will be decent in the Championship for us. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  14. 11/10 still. incredible. If it was any of the 5 teams above us in our position they'd be long odds on. Wonder when the bookies will finally realise how bad we are? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  15. We can potentially go 14th with a win. Our biggest game in years, just hope we are up for it Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. Austin straight into the 11! Decent attacking line up. We have to get at them early. Feeling confident now, 2-0 Saints Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  17. booom. That's game won for me. We've seriously upped it second half. Hojberg's first ever shot on target? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. the year before then. Lost 1-0 at home to Swansea on the sunday then drew 0-0 with West Ham midweek also at home. That was our big opportunity to make the top 4 and we bottled it. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  19. The West Ham game is the biggest game since we played them them at home under Koeman 3 years ago; we would have made the Champions League imo that season if we won that but we bottled it. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  20. I celebrated the news like we had scored a goal. Forgot what that feels like Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  21. it's just bizarre. Even on sky sports etc. Pellegrino seems to be getting off lightly. Surely other football fans must look at our situation and expect him to be sack. Only if we had been promoted the season before would such results be acceptable. I've lost all faith in Les Reed. He has become so obsessed by the whole business model and 'Southampton Way' that he has lost sight of the number one goal of winning football matches. I expect they are too busy calculating player sales im the summer. Never in 25 years have I been so frustrated as a Saints fan. We've been in darker times undoubtedly, but the situation we are in now has been easily avoidable. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. another one of our rivals playing with 'intensity' and getting hammered. Can't wait for tomorrow's first 10 minutes of intensity by Stoke before they get smashed 5-0 Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  23. Our worst performance for three years. We are down now, so he needs to be sacked tonight as this is unacceptable. It really doesn't matter who comes in for the last few games. And if Les doesnt do it then he needs to go too. Massive rebuilding job to do now in the Championship Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  24. thank **** for that. Although I get the impression some on here would prefer a 'high intensity' 3-2 defeat to a classic Pellegrino 0-0 draw. We are just about hanging in there. Next two games our our biggest for the last three years Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  25. The thing is the bookies are basing it on the quality of the squad. I'm aware on paper our team might look better than say, Huddersfield. However they are not performing under our manager. At 7/2 you really are unlikely to find many better value bets over the next few years. We should be even money at best. Let's make the best of a bad situation. Fill your boots!
