  1. Got a bad feeling about this one. In seasons gone by this would be a home win, but we are at the same level as Watford now. Can see them nicking this one nil Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  2. It may well be true he has had rows, hardly surprising when we know he wants to leave. I think time is running out for him. We have signed 2 new cbs. If Van Dijk if forced to stay then he's going to need to play well for us to get a move next summer. We get a season out of him, sell him for £70 mil and already will have the replacements ready. Thats the most ideal situation we can hope for. The clubs stance has been so strong that I can't see them backing down at this late stage. The bull**** tweets and rumours are going to be stronger than ever now, will be an interesting few days Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. Their transfer strategy is just an absolute embarassment. I remember last summer, they were stating 'we want to sign a £20 million striker'. Then ended up with Ayew who was probably .12th choice on their list. I expect Swansea didn't even ask for that much, but the bubble blowers wanted to make a 'statement of intent'. As much as he has been mocked on here in recent times, Antonio is the only player who would improve our squad. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. not the best performance but an entertaining afternoon. Time to stop pretending Stephens is good enough to be first choice. As much as he's been an absolute c1nt, VVD needs to be kept and intergrated into the team. Pellegrino still seems to be working out the best attacking line up, which is fair enough. 5. yeah absolute joke how openly they can discuss where he will be positioned at Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  6. Didn't see the game. Was it a played well, unlucky and would have scored 7 on another day performance, or a clueless and no better than we were under Puel showing? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  7. A reasonable looking bench for the first time since RoKo left. Not sure what to expect, but one thing you can guarantee is everyone on here moaning like **** 10 minutes in Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  8. We still need a VVD replacement. Stephens and Yoshida simply not good enough to be first choice if we have any sort of ambitions for top half. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  9. wow, that is some statement. A massive gamble by the player. Bit of advice for him; don't sign a five year contract then, you disgraceful **** Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  10. I like the way we try to bring through our own players. Whilst we've undoubtedly brought through some quality in recent years, are the likes of Targett, Seager and Stephens really good enough? We still need a couple of quality signings to finish top half again. It's been very quiet so far, hoping Les has a VVD replacement and DM lined up at the very least. 11. I just don't get the Liverpool thing; there's a few other teams who have actually won stuff in recent seasons, why not dream of playing for them??? Let's face it, he's gone. With only a few weeks to go Les needs to start investing in some quality in anticipation of selling VVD on deadline day for £70 million to Man City. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. yeah the odds on transfers and next managers are very sensitive. The simple reason is the bookies don't have a clue so they are on high alert as soon as someone parts with as much as even a tenner. If someone wanted to bet an 11/4 shot to win a football match they would take it all day long. If i was to go and put 100 pounds now on VVD to stay theyd be running scared and shorten it to evens. So yes, ignore these markets as they are largely meaningless. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. don't we already have Boufal, Tadic and Redmond? it seems the wide am who creates is always everyone's most anticipated signing. I think we are ok in the striker department; the main worry is Gabba and Austin getting injured. We still need a decent cm. Ward Prowse and Davis not good enough if we want to challene for 7th. Have a feeling it may be a quieter window for us but the key is keeping VVD Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  14. can't believe Les didn't hold out for £50 million for Juanmi Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  15. x Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. Typical Les Reed. Already making a net profit in the transfer window and we haven't even sold any of our best players yet. In all seriousness, an incredible fee for a player who has sadly lost it. And our fans moan that we lack ambiton. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  17. makes me a bit more confident VVD will stay. Can't see us signing another cb now with Stephens' new contract. Welcome Jan! Now to shift J Rod and getva striker replacement in Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. so do we think theres anything in the Vieira rumour? can see very little about it other than a suggestion on here - could just be the bookies running scared Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  19. best home and away kits we've had in years Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  20. Cheers Claude. Just not right for us, and too much of a risk to go again with him for next season. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Tuchel is top target, nor if we manage to get him. Let's hope this doesn't drag on too long Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  21. bizarre - was really not expecting that. Probably safe to say he's not going to Liverpool Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. Man City, fine, but Liverpool??? Just **** off now Les Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  23. They were going for £15 on sports direct the other day; no longer on there so probably sold out. Better to wait for next years Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  24. I've lost count of the amount of times he has said 'interesting' this season before games. Our season has been anything but Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  25. The whole makeup of the league has been different this season; essentially back to normal on terms of the 'top 6' actually making up the top six. Then you have Everton and then the best of the rest. Under Roko and MoPo we were able to mix it with the top sides and beat all of them along the way. In addition, it was clear we were better than the likes of WBA, Stoke etc. This season there is little between 8th and 17th so our position is a little flattering. However, Ralph's comments suggest to me Puel may be on his way. It's not been disastrous, and not been all his fault, but ultimately underwhelming and largely forgettable. #cheerstoanothernilnilClaude Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
