  1. Too much expectation on him, we are always taking a risk by only having one real striker in the squad. He's having a bad time of it, but the goals have dried up in general across the team. Hopefully he will find his scoring boots against Liverpool.
  2. Mane seems to be our only game changer. Pelle's off form, but he's our only option and can't be blamed.
  3. Fair enough, you're entitled to dream, hope it comes true for you. 20 shots on goal is great if you put some of them in the back of the net
  4. Great. Can't wait for him to explain how we are still 4th and could mathematically still win the league. Let's just ignore the fact we've dropped 5 points in 2 home games.
  5. Plenty of other teams will come to us and set up like that. The Swansea game and tonight have proved we are simply not good enough at breaking teams down. Pelle's really lost his shooting boots too. One point from two home games is not CL form, sadly. The dream has ended. Massively disappointing. We just have to try and grind out a few more wins to make the Europa League
  6. It's not going to get any easier, West Ham are still going to be incredibly difficult to break down
  7. Not happening tonight, Swansea all over again
  8. You can find a 1000 posts like that from the summer. Once RoKo came in and started building a team I realised we would be fine. No one could have predicted we'd be doing so well. Anyways, enough of this, let's focus on the game tonight and getting 3 points.
  9. Lol, now that's just complete bull****. Don't try and jump on the bandwagon against me by making stuff up
  10. Yeah I changed my mind after reading that Spurs are an 'absolute shambles' and a 'complete and utter mess'.
  11. More interested in the top 4 personally
  12. You usually like to comment on what a poor side Liverpool are, so it should be a routine victory for us shouldn't it?
  13. Think everyone needs to stop worrying so much about the other sides around us. It's in our hands, if we don't finish fourth or above it will be because we weren't good enough. It's almost as if some are finding it difficult to accept that any team might get some points from this games.Let's just make sure we get three points tomorrow.
  14. Yes, essentially we needed 6 points from every 3 games prior to the Swansea game (assuming 72 will get 4th. So really we need to beat West Ham, then win 2 from the next 3, and repeat as necessary. Easy.
  15. Exactly, hopefully come Wednesday night we will have a nice gap over them and Liverpool.
  16. Think it's better in a way, just to keep West Ham well adrift
  17. I tipped us to beat QPR, and also Swansea last week, hope that answers your question. As for Wednesday, think it will be a 1-1 draw.
  18. He would be a good replacement for Morgan in the summer
  19. Draw would be a good result for us, but I wouldn't be confident about us beating West Ham on wednesday if they play like this.
  20. Yes, they would have to win nearly every game. I think we are probably looking at a worst case scenario of finishing 6th, just above Liverpool. Think most people would be happy with that, there will be a few players leaving either way.
  21. Watching the highlights, Mane got himself in a one on one situation a couple of times. Personally I think we're creating enough chances, we just need to start being more clinical. Pelle's goalscoring form is a bit of a concern, but we're still up there fighting. Nice of SSN to mention at the end of the clip of the game that we are now in third just 4 points behind Man City!

    Mane

You could tell he was going to be one of those players who either turns up or doesn't. But in November/December he had 5 games where he was awful, the criticism at the time was justified. I'm sure everyone's delighted he has turned things around, he really offers something different, and as yesterday proved he is a matchwinner too.
  23. Who cares if we were poor? Got the job done, could be a season definining goal from Mane. A draw would have raised questions and our chance for CL qualification would have been dead. The margins are so fine now, and the West Ham game is another must win. But we are still in the mix, and march on.
  24. Absolutely, can't afford to slip up again, the pressure is unrelenting.
  25. Some ridiculous statements. He was a good manager but not great. Last season we had about the 8th best squad in the league, so it was hardly a great achievement. I wasn't bothered at all when he left, although many on here were. He had been engineering a move to Spurs since March. Only in it for himself. How's his win percentage looking these days?
