What are the DHGate quality ones like? after the game yesterday my boys decided they want the black shirt but my usual site only has the home one one.

Of the players not featured today, Dibling, THB, Downes and Diaz were all at the game. Didn’t see any of the others though.

We did both, THB and Downes were loans too good for Championship but signings like Fraser, Manning and loans of Rothwell were solid championship but not PL level

Something you worry about when you get there tbh. I’d rather a squad able to get out the league then have to rebuild in the summer again. Sunderland are having to do it, our issue last time is we put too much faith in players not good enough.

I was listening to The Hard Truth pod which is by the Peterborough owner, he said in hindsight he wished he had sold a few of the players that didn’t want to be there last summer rather than this summer. Said it would have been better for the club not having players who didn’t want to be there involved. Attitudes, impact on others etc..

Sometimes said player isn’t available for transfer only a loan. I don’t see it as an issue, it’s just the two we wanted to keep had very expensive price tags.

This is the downside of the transfer window not shutting before the season starts. yes we will lose more players, but we will also sign more players too. Not before the season starts but come end of transfer window I’m sure the squad will look quite different. The frustration is we will have played 5 games before we get to that position. We have to accept our place in the food chain and can’t just buy players and sit with a huge squad and then start to sell who we don’t want. We aren’t Liverpool.

I know not the most pressing question but would be good to know why we don’t have stripes on back of shirts, it looks miles better with them

Only option to buy not obligation. We don’t have to accept the offer because they made it.

Apparently the option to buy is £25M (assuming it’ll be £21M plus £4M loan) so a good move all round I would say.

Guess we’ll find out based on who the 3rd keeper is. Personally I would go for a new number one with the aim of getting us promoted, who would then be number two next season if Ramsdale returned, Macca is out of contract next year so we would be back to 3keepers again

Think Ramsdale loan needs to be put into context, wages being covered in full and £4M for one year. I’m not sure what people really expected from a loan deal?! I’m happy with that. i just hope given we knew the likelihood of Ramsdale leaving that we know what keeper we want to bring in (be it a number 1 or 3) and push that deal through quickly now.

Fine with wages being covered and receiving a loan fee. If we go up we have a PL ready keeper again, if not then hopefully Newcastle take up the option to buy. go get a keeper who will be good enough for our promotion push, if we go up he can be number 2 next season. Then gives us a new keeper with Baz and McCarthy as back ups .

I get that they might have had to say it was behind closed doors as looks like it’s being played at a training complex, but then why are Espanyol fans allowed to be there. also, why charge saints fans £5 to watch it?? The club might make a grand or two from people paying but is that really worth it? Let fans watch for free it’s only a friendly, poor PR from the club too, especially as Espanyol are showing it for free (wonder who told them mid first half to turn off access to uk watches too!)

I had that problem too, way round it that worked for me what use the link for discount tickets then do auto select seats when when allocated you change them to the ones you want. I found if I tried to select my own they would be full price but auto select applied the discount.

The more pressing issue is getting players out. We need to get the squad size down otherwise players are going to be on the books and training with the u21’s Sadly the rumours of outgoings is very quiet currently, but we have too many left backs, centre backs and attackers currently so until some leave we can’t fill the areas we are short in

Maybe he wanted to play abroad? He seems best mates with Dele so assume he spoke to him about Turkey and sold it to him.

First friendly of the season. Who’s likely not to feature? Ramsdale, Fernandes, Edwards- later back Bednarek, ABK - wanting out Downs - not ready who else do you think will be missing today?

I think it’s important now we start to shift some of those not needed. If we can move Bednarek Aribo on for starters then maybe we can then look to add someone else to the squad.

Can’t wait for the meltdown when the first lineup of pre season is announced!

Regarding Edozie, he went on loan to Belgium to get regular minutes and to show what he can do in a lesser league. he didn’t exactly excel so why is he all of a sudden going to perform in the Championship? As long as he’s replaced I’m happy to take a chance on someone new tbh
