Why because he hasn’t played for us? Just player trading and making profits isn’t it. We buy him, loan him to a sister club then sell for more money. That’s the set up working correctly. Chelsea and city have been doing it for years.

Thanks have you used them? I assume all the different places on dh gate you can buy are all different sellers and therefore quality could vary?

I think I’ve found one, some of them were only allowing me to pick the adult sizes. Where I normally use don’t have the kits for kids on yet so having to try dh gate

Tbh I think it’s a good move for him. Chance to play games in PL, if he does well the bigger teams will come in for him and we can get some cash from the sell on fee.

It was largely known we needed to reduce the squad but then people moan when someone leaves and isn’t replaced. Ultimately it’s where we land on 1st Sept that we need to worry about not 8th Aug.

Of the players not featured today, Dibling, THB, Downes and Diaz were all at the game. Didn’t see any of the others though.

We did both, THB and Downes were loans too good for Championship but signings like Fraser, Manning and loans of Rothwell were solid championship but not PL level

Something you worry about when you get there tbh. I’d rather a squad able to get out the league then have to rebuild in the summer again. Sunderland are having to do it, our issue last time is we put too much faith in players not good enough.

I was listening to The Hard Truth pod which is by the Peterborough owner, he said in hindsight he wished he had sold a few of the players that didn’t want to be there last summer rather than this summer. Said it would have been better for the club not having players who didn’t want to be there involved. Attitudes, impact on others etc..

Sometimes said player isn’t available for transfer only a loan. I don’t see it as an issue, it’s just the two we wanted to keep had very expensive price tags.

This is the downside of the transfer window not shutting before the season starts. yes we will lose more players, but we will also sign more players too. Not before the season starts but come end of transfer window I’m sure the squad will look quite different. The frustration is we will have played 5 games before we get to that position. We have to accept our place in the food chain and can’t just buy players and sit with a huge squad and then start to sell who we don’t want. We aren’t Liverpool.

Only option to buy not obligation. We don’t have to accept the offer because they made it.

Apparently the option to buy is £25M (assuming it’ll be £21M plus £4M loan) so a good move all round I would say.

Guess we’ll find out based on who the 3rd keeper is. Personally I would go for a new number one with the aim of getting us promoted, who would then be number two next season if Ramsdale returned, Macca is out of contract next year so we would be back to 3keepers again
