Avenue and Hobart Paving. Lovely. I used to f-f-f-fancy Sarah Cracknell something illegal.
-
So, as most of your posts suggest, you really are a **** then?
-
The idea that we are made to feel afraid of the future offends me.

Sigh. I didn't make it a numbers game St George. My point was that I could ask 100 people something (anything) and if 99 come up with the same answer I'm more likely to believe them. In your desperation to points score you jumped on it. Didn't respond to my comments regarding the petition though? Why's that? Who are these mystery people who have signed this petition? Also, I didn't say I couldn't see why your friend in the wine industry would take a serious interest in climate change. Read what I wrote before you try and twist it. I don't need to respond to your comments regarding the IPCC - someone's already done it. And there's no sneering contempt in that article. Just a whole load of evidence showing where David Bellamy got his 'facts' from. What's with the 'lefty' comment? Is this about politics? Is that what gets your goat? Is reasoned debate a bit too pinko/commie for you? The thing is there's no point arguing with someone like you (so I won't be after this post) - you are so blinded by your prejudices. Why do I even bother replying? Because, unfortunately your reactionary approach to the climate change debate and the 'facts' that you post need some kind of countering lest they some how become the 'truth' in the eyes of other people. FWIW, I'm a sceptic about man-made global warming. I find it hard to believe the amount of CO2 we've churned out in the last 300 years hasn't affected the environment in some way but I do need some convincing. Regardless, fossil fuels will run out sooner rather than later so we do need alternative energy resources whether you think the government are ripping us off or not. Anyway, St George enjoy the rest of your existence. It must be a bilious, painful world out there for you right now.
-
No. it's not a number game it's a facts game. But, if you think you're winning then go you. Manhattan Project - hmm, David Bellamy again - right there on the front page. Did you read my previous link? Or did you conveniently ignore it? As for the petition - the spelling mistakes were a bit off putting but I persevered. I thought I'd randomly Google 10 names from the list of those who have signed. First up, a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Washington - quite impressive, even if his specialty is geometry and not climate change. Next up was the MD of a wine distribution company in California - not quite sure why I would take any notice of him regarding climate change. The next 8 I Googled did not show up at all aside from the petition itself. You'd have a thought if they had an academic credentials at all (publications, members of a faculty etc) then they might have shown up. Odd that they didn't. I'd like to see some evidence that all these academics from the rest of the world also deny man made climate change. Any evidence will do. As long as it's spelt properly and that they have some scientific credentials. I won't even respond to your jibe about the IPCC as if you seriously think that report was the combined efforts of just 52 scientists then you're seriously deluded.

I think you might be on a wind-up but anyway..... Where are the 'facts' in St George's post? How has he backed them up? Do you even know what a 'fact' is? Seriously? As opposed to a truth, theory, hypothesis etc. I am also open minded but if 99 people are telling me one thing and one person (especially if that person is from a previously unheard of university or David Bellamy) contradicts them then I can normally be pretty sure about the conclusion I have come to. While I'm here....for those who do not believe in man-made global warming in the face of pretty overwhelming evidence (despite what St George says).....what's your issue? Why would the government or whoever want to dupe us?

Gerald Ashby (for the Norwich game) Ruel Fox (ditto) Robert Fleck (ditto) Andy Ritchie Roger Milford Andy Sinton (more England caps than MLT) Lee Bowyer Rodney Marsh Steve Claridge Tony Adams (I'm a recovering sensitive alcoholic who can use long words now...no, you're just a boring navel gazing ****....and a **** manager) David James (just because you write for the Grauniad doesn't make you intelligent..**** keeper too) Rupert Lowe Claus Lundekvam (for that game at Fratton) Peter Crouch (for bottling that game at Fratton)

Mate, you are soooo bitter. It's not just Brown's fault it would have happened anyway. Your very public breakdown this weekend has been painful to watch. Why don't you take some time out and relax a bit? -
Hahahahahaha! Oh, no!! David Bellamy doesn't believe in man-made warming. Why don't you read this you ****ing moron?: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2005/may/10/environment.columnists As for James A. Peden. Who he?
-
Oh, the irony. It's not Labour's fault, in the same way they shouldn't have been taking the credit (no pun intended) when the economy was looking all rosy. It's called boom and bust - it would have happened anyway regardless of the government. Blame the greedy ****ers all over the country who want everything now, now, now. The same greedy ****ers who want the big TV, the decent motor and the nice (sometimes second) home. In fact, the same greedy ****ers who speculate on the market to make an easy buck.

Be honest - which division should our team be playing in

I live in Brighton. I'll bring some round. Anything to stop you ****ing moaning. -
From this report I think it's entirely possible you were watching a completely different game. One of the worst displays from England you've ever seen? We were playing the European Champions (a near full strength team at that) - and we had probably our three best players missing. And Lampard played. He was ****ing shocking - he misplaced at least the first three balls that came his way. The reason the forwards had no support was because everyone else was tied up up trying to stop the Spanish midfield running riot. They have a quality midfield and there aren't many teams that could live with it. Especially not England with their lack of movement and need for two touches. Personally I didn't think SWP was that bad. Spent most of his time tracking back which he had to do and did pretty well. It was inevitable we were going to get beat last night. With a full strength team and Capello we should be expecting the semis of any major tournament and then a loss to someone like Spain, probably. No shame in that. People need to be realistic.

The Slits Fudge Tunnel Best I can do at the mo'.

Nonsense. Clearly Ronaldo is very good. But he's just a quick Beckham with a couple of (the same old) tricks. Messi, on the other hand, is a once in a generation type of player. Quick thinking, instinctive and with the ability to back that instinctiveness up. He is insanely good.
-
He's in the Forces. It'll be a busman's holiday for him.
-
Yep. Cheating poodle-haired ****. From what I remember he added on about 7 minutes for a player who was lying injured OFF the pitch. Dirty Oldham monkeys ran on the pitch and celebrated in front of the Lower East. Still makes me angry to this day. I think that was in the same run as the Swindon game someone mentioned above. That was a quality comeback. Cracking MLT freekick.

To be fair, my job security isn't affected by the economy. Long live the house price drop!!!

Don't waste your time, mate. With the odd exception, England away games haven't been worth going to for years. Tickets are stupid money. The FA want to know the size of your arsehole. And you have to hang out with people who wear face paint.
-
Wow, that's quite interesting. Where did you see this?
-
Yeah - but you do have to hang round with ****s for the rest of your life.

In the last 24 hours I have listened to: Casio Kids - who were surprisingly good live - much better than their tinny MySpace sound would suggest. They were supporting: of Montreal - who, as ever, were high camp, hyperactive party greatness - I was tequila-ed though. White Denim - Workout Holiday - gets better the more I listen to it.
-
Yep - spot on. Truly awful film. I had the misfortune of reading the book (on recommendation) and STILL watched the film. Both were dreadful. And any film that has Eddie Vedder involved will always be sh1t. American Gangster - not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Not great though.
