MP is Argentinian, not Spanish. And, on topic: I wanted us to get a CB and a wide front man in during this window. Happy with Forren (looking forward to seeing how he does tomorrow) and am still hoping we bring someone in to play out wide. Lallana coming back from injury; Guly injured; if Punch were to pick up a knock we would be very thin on the ground attacking wise. What's more, the team hasn't even scored a goal under Pinocchio so far.

Of those still playing: Bale Walcott Oxo Baird (as back-up DM) Jones in that order.

Is the issue between MLT and NC a professional or a personal one?
Minsk replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Why should they? And, if them, who else should be entitled to one? Channon? Holmes? Jimmy Case? Lickie Rambert? Nigel Adkins? Etc, etc, etc........ -
Corrected it for NA. Does a wooden spoon count as a trophy?

Why should MLT be allowed to buy more tickets than anyone else? Who were these tickets for? Saints fans? ManUre fans? Spurs fans? Does it matter who they are/were fans of? To my mind yes, if they were to be bought tickets ahead of Saints fans. And, if they were paying Saints fans, why didn't they just buy their own tickets? Okay, okay, I know you are going to have a hissy fit about my first question - 'MLT should be allowed to do whatever he wants at SMS', I can hear you cry. 'after all He did for our club.' Well, in that case, what about Mick Channon? Should he also be allowed to buy an additional 10 tickets for his mates (who may not Saints fans)? What about Nick Holmes? David Peach? The mates of Bobby Stokes, should they be given tickets ahead for regularly attending Saints fans? Claus Lundekvam? Drew Surman? Paul Telfer? Any of the other HUNDREDS of players who have been on Saints books since we moved to SMS, or the THOUSANDS who played their hearts out at The Dell? Where do you draw the line? Cortese drew the line at NO ONE getting special treatment; and has stuck to his guns. Don't see a problem with that I'm afraid. Yes MLT was an amazing player. He gave me numerous fantastic moments as a Saints fan, and for that I will always be thankful. He also nearly killed the club with his backing of Pinnacle. I am very glad that Marcus and NC were still waiting and willing to step in at the last minute. One does wonder, what is MLT trying to achieve by his constant verbal attacks on NC? Is he trying to drive him away from SMS? Does he honestly think Saints would be better off without NC and the Liebherrs? Maybe he (and you?) would be happy for us to be back as a PLC and run by a Lowe clone? -
So, Euro 2020 is going to be held in 13 different counties. Whoever the host nations are will not qualify automatically. but will get to play at least 2 of their group matches in their own country. Obviously, the fact there will be so many countries means lots of travelling for anyone wanting to take in numerous matches. However, I don't thik it is a terrible idea to do this - as a one off. Although I do think they should, as far as possible, make the 13 countries ones that would never stand a chance of hosting the tournament either in their own right or partnered with another country (ala Poland/Ukraine). Countries like: N. Ireland, Wales, Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria and, yes, Belarus. What are your thoughts?

From all the showings of the incident I've seen on Sky News, it doesn't look like Hazard touched him; or at least, certainly not enough to have hurt him. I'm sure I even heard that there isn't a mark on the scrote. Also, I agree, he is far from a 'boy'. We have had numerous players younger than him in first team during recent years, and when I was his age I had been serving in the RN for more than a year. However, Hazard was stupid and rightly got a red. If I was him I would now be wishing I had really kicked the little sh!t!!

Clever new tactic (to be used at Old Trafford?) having 2 'keepers in goal. I wonder which outfield position is going to be sacrificed? Not sure it will be allowed though.

Yes, it does seem that Simon Gillette is the only footballer approached by them who can use the internet. I guess he did learn something useful during his time in the Saints academy (and, possibly, from here).

You're right. PoncyConyo, or simply Conyo for short, is much better - not at all insulting And it's Spanish.
-
Great first half; ran out of steam and ideas 2nd half. Got to thank Boruc for us not throwing it away. Predicted a draw but still feels like 2 points dropped to me. We need to win home games, and we should certainly score goals at home.

2 points dropped decent first half, ran out of steam and ideas
-
Is this ref in love with Felaini? Gives him a foal when breathed on, never pulls him up for anything!
-
Good save Boruc!!
-
We were lucky there

First half analysis: We are by far the better team As usual, the oppo goalkeeper is having a blinder. We should be at last 2 up. As usual, ref is having a shocker. 2 unjustified yellows (although Guly should have had one) and it was a clear pen (player push over in the box when he was about to receive the ball) If I was a neutral I would feel Saints were going to win this; as a seasoned Saints fan I think it could be one of those days where we dominate and lose to a crappy goal.
-
Decent effort from Rickie (free kick) Gaston playing well so far I feel more comfortable at the back with Boruc in goal
-
Anybody who thinks the players will perform worse just because the crowd are praising their former manager, and for many the guy who brought them here, is a complete numpty IMO.
-
Using the girlfriend analogy........... Yes, it feels as if I have just broken up with a girlfriend who was great in bed and gave the best head since some Geordie chick I knew about 30 years ago. Now, if I want some, I will have to go to some dirty, pox ridden, crack whore. Yep, that's a pretty good analogy of how I feel.

TOE the line.

Well, personally, I've tried a few variations but will simply call him Conyo until he earns my respect. I really don't give a toss whether you agree with that sentiment or not either.

Can't be arsed to read any more than half of the first page, but here are a few posts that I like. 24 hours on I still feel deflated and disgusted at how Nige was treated. I honestly feel that relegation is now more likely this season because of this madness. I think it will take me an awful long time to come to terms with having MP as our manager. If we win all our remaining games this season and he issues a statement saying, 'They are called The Falkland Islands and they should always remain British' I might have warm feelings towards him for next season!!
-
Absolutely this, apart from the being a season ticket holder bit. A day later, got drunk and sobered up again, and I still feel completely deflated. Thanks for everything you did Nigel and all the very best to you for the future.

I agree, Pinoconyo is much better!!!

Or Ponconyo because he's a c*nt?
