Big difference in that NA was approached and appointed well after AP was sacked. Whereas MP stabbed NA in the back by agreeing to take the man's job while he was still in it. IMO, it takes a certain type of ***t to do that. MP not to blame for the situation? Get behind the new manager? B0ll0cks! Respect has to be earned and he has started in a very bad way to my mind.

I am disgusted at this news. I hope the crowd all sing Nigel's name loud and clear on Monday. Although, to be honest, if I were over there now I might even consider withdrawing my support from SMS for some time. I have always previously backed Cortese, but this decision is shocking. I bet St Lard is celebrating tonight though.

Saints only club in PL without undersoil heating
Minsk replied to once_bitterne's topic in The Saints
What a non-story. Can someone with twitter please inform the journo that no match at SMS has ever been postponed due to a frozen pitch. The Huddersfield match he references was called off due to icy pavements and terraces. I expect to see a full apology in the Express in the very near future! -
Do either of you honestly think Ba would have come to us instead of Chelsea? Let me reword the original question put - Which players who have already signed for other prem clubs are you upset that we didn't sign?

Amazed this answer hasn't been given by now - The Fifth Element

Ah yes, that's the word, suspended. Thought postponed was wrong but be couldn't be bothered to look back through the thread and check. Thanks.

Postponed, not withdrawn.

My daughter is 8 and walks to school on her own, even on dark mornings; just as I did when I was her age. Mind you, it is all of about 50 metres to the school gate, at the end of our block, without even a single road to cross. She has 20m of pavement to walk along before the road ends (dead-end) then a path leading into the school gates. At the time she leaves there are dozens of kids on their way to school (aged from 6-18 in that school) with lots of younger kids being taken to the pre-school opposite our house. In fact, over here, a lot of kids her age make their own way to school - many using public transport. (I wouldn't allow her to do that, even though I do think it would be safe to do so.) In many ways things here are like they were when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s, and I believe it is a LOT safer here than back there (mostly because of the huge police presence - they patrol around our streets in groups of three, and very regularly during school run times). Oh, and most days she either leaves at the same time as Mrs Minsk or with the 13 year old next door.

Highly unlikely, in my opinion. The council said they would only give the loan if the PDT was the oly option available (Chinny is still around) AND if they were guaranteed the money was paid directly back to them via the PPs (which a) couldn't be promised by the PL and b) the PPs are spoken for by the ex-hero players).

Well said Crabby! Ditto this!! Excellent, as always, RB!!!! (N.B. I will do my utmost to attend any such party as mentioned above.)

Congratulations!!!!! I hope we have a game worth telling him about all his life - 'Son, the day you were born was when we put 7 past Chelsea in the cup' (or something like that). There certainly should be a stream, as the game is being shown live here (via Sentanta I believe).

This, most definitely. But have also been very impressed by Morgan.

Good performance from the team and a great one by the defence. Yoshida just pips Cork for MoM for me. Well done Nigel Adkins; got the tactics and line-up spot on again today. I wonder how many on here still want him sacked? Thought it was a great second goal by Gaston, but he did give a slight shove before hand. Happy with the point, as I thought we were going to get spanked after watching the Arse/Newcastle match, but in the end really felt we could have won it. Very pleased to be out of the bottom three. Really looking forward to the Villa match!!

The lengths they go to to avoid due punishments............ McLeod was suspended for tomorrow's match, so they terminate his contract early in order to sign someone eligible to play. Same old cheating ****s. By the way, I presume DC is aware of the state of their treatment room!

Good post, except for one thing - and I hate to go all MLG on you, but - it was Malcolm Waldron. He was one of my favourite players in the late 70's.
-
Today we: moved a point ahead of QPR and Wigan; maintained a 6 point lead over Reading; gained a point on Villa and Newcastle. Happy with that. Cork MoM for me, with Shaw a close 2nd.

Not in the 18.

I agree. I was one of them. I also thought he was bang on form in pre-season. I also thought J-Rod and Chung would be great coming off the bench. They would both probably also have a few good games in the Champ, leading to threads like this, if they were to be loaned to a decent Champ team for the 2nd half of the season.

Oh, btw, very happy with this news.
-
But Cortese as no respect for the club's history and its past players.................
-
I was expecting to see a thread like this when I scored he had scored 2 goals today (one of them a penalty). Obviously, there is no difference between the championship and the prem.

Merry Christmas fellow nutjobbers. Hope you are all having a great one!!!
