By what date would any phoenix club have to be set up by in order to participate next season?

Oi, I got it right too!! I can recall a few "debates" I've had with Lard over Adkins - and much abuse sent in my direction from him too.
-
Beautiful, sunny, hot 25 here in Minsk!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I wonder if he will change his tune when Chinny rides back into town and ownership of the Skates?? (Although I would actually love it if the FL blocked Chinny from doing so and their "hard line" FaPPT led to a Skate liquidation.)
-
I see 3 teams voted against it. I would put my house on 2 of them being Leceister and West Ham, I wonder who the third team would be be? (I doubt it will be Skates if Birch had their vote.)
-
Yeh, we've been really crap; Adkins has constantly seriously underestimated the opposition and been found wanting in comparison to more 'experienced' managers!

This. The only other possibility I can see is NA going for a diamond of: Morgan holding, Hammond and Cork in the middle, with with Lallana attacking/free roaming. This would also really call for a return of Frazer to RB. However, I feel a midfield of: Lallana-Morgan-Cork-Guly is the most likely.

Ex-pats. What time is the Cov game for you then?

It's a 1430 kick-off for me. Perfect time! -
There really are some big girl's blouses on here tonight. Whilst I was hoping for a last minute equaliser, I also am happy that we can secure promotion ourselves on the last day of the season in front of a full house at St. Mary's. To me, that is how a promotion should be sealed. NOT with the press saying we are up because WHam failed!! We will win on Saturday, and will do so comfortably. Rickie needs a hat-trick for 30 league goals!!!!!!!

Well done NP, taking tsb Nugent off. He has been dire tonight/

"Luke Varney got a better offer from a club that couldn't pay it." Great quote from Holloway!
-
Great bit of skill by Marshall to set Beckford up for the goal! Who said he was sh!te..................

The players are not merely preferred creditors, they are GUARANTEED to get 100% of their wages - including all that has been deferred (and not all the players agreed to have some of their wages deferred in any case). This money will be paid to them from funds direct from the FL if need be. If the club folds they become free agents and can then neotiate a higher salary then if a fee was paid was for them. So please explain why, for example, TBH would tear up his 36k per week contract (basic - in reality it is more like 50k per week) and agree to a move to another club for (again, as an example) 18k per week. Would you throw away money you were 100% guaranteed to receive?
-
IMO, that money would be better used to pay the schools and charities. They will not find a buyer, they will be liquidated, Do it NOW Mr Birch; waiting is delaying the inevitable and wasting money which should go to creditors. But I suppose it is increasing your own bill!!!!!!
-
You are presuming someone will want to buy said players, matching their current extortionate salaries; or that the players will take a pay cut and agree to go.
-
Which should make then be nore open and come at us. They need to win to stand a chance of reaching the play-offs; draw not enough. That will suit us! COYY I expect it will be tha same team as last week, with Morgan replacing Richardson on the bench. An exciting 3-2 win to Saints is my predicted scoreline.
-
I agree, and my point is why wait an extra week until after an AWAY game and all the additional expense that incurs? Surely it is more financially beneficial to liquidate immediately after Saturday's match. They could have relegation and liquidation on the same day. Added to our promotion, that is 3 bottles of bubbly!!!!!!!!!!
-
It would certainly be funny if they did fold with one match to go, after taking in all that loan money. I would love to see the quotes from Upton Park; 'but we paid them to finish the season, so that we kept our points.........' or then again, maybe they wouldnt actually admit to it.
-
I'm sure that 800k was 200k per month, from January - so they will have already been paid it. Therefore, they should fold immediately after taking their last confirmed payment (the match by match payments from season ticket money). To keep paying out wages, travel expenses, etc, after that point is depriving creditors of 'contributions' in my eyes. Most certainly, if I were a creditor I would be writing to Birch to ask how he could justify further expenses with zero income expected.
