  1. It probably is a load of nonsense. But there is a chance if Spurs sack AVB, which they wont for a while yet. A lot of bigger clubs will look at MP and see him as a good appointment and it'd be an attractive job for most managers.
  2. Why isn't there a chance?
  3. Except that isn't anything like what you said is it. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?44021-Realistic-target-placing-next-season-current-squad With the current squad as at 31/3 you said 'I would target 6-9th' and asked for peoples personal views, no mention of what cortese would target, that is where you though we could realistically finish with the squad we had last season. Now with £35m spent and 3 quality players added you're targeting the same LMFAO
  4. Another 2-0 loss as our slide down the table gathers pace.
  5. 8th, some ahead some tough games. Don't think we'll get anything Sunday but can pick up a few from the others.
  6. Like who? Most of the predictions on this thread see us between 4th and 9th. So either better than the bookmakers or roughly the same give or take position or so. So who are these 'quite a few fans' who are more negative then the bookies?
  7. We were good enough for 6th before spent £35m on Lovern, Osvaldo and Wanyama weren't we? Why should it only be 'maybe 6th' now? Surely we should be aiming for 2nd but settling for 7th. or something.
  8. I guess they don't get him either! Groves would, have been sparked out if he'd let it go, it agree, the ref should have give him the chance to recover.

He's got a bit of a monk from mean machine about him but he's a quality keeper.

I actually thought that today myself. Our last 3 goals conceded have all been odd.
  11. To be fair tokes, he don't do himself any favours in te interviews. Won't hold that against him as I've followed his career and he's a top man and a true fighter, yes he got a bit lucky tonight but over he's career he's been a legend. Groves was superb and Deserved better though, even if Froch would have knocked him out in the end.

I love it when he's about pal. Always gives me LOLs. On another note Lukaku seems to have the first touch of James Beattie.

    You mean this guy pal?

That cracked me up. I laughed when I saw it on the telly, I actually though it was Faf and what a legend as well as WTF was he doing? he is by for my favourite player.

I think you need to have been outraged by it exclaiming it the worst decision ever for it to have been considered covering it pal.
  16. Well Turkish was only one round out and called it right as usual. Ridiculous stoppage. Listening to Froch I think he knows he got a bit lucky. Groves seems like a decent lad too to be fair.
  17. Terrible decison, stopped way top early, and I wanted Froch to win.
  18. Groves has been superb so far, quick and strong. Caught Froch a few times, don't write Froch off yet though.
  19. Come on the cobra!!
  20. We are a Good side, are we good enough to finish above One of Man United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs? Im not so sure. so we can realistically finish 7th-10th. We could finish above Everton to get 7th but that would be great achievement. IMO we will finish 8th or 9th. This would still be a great achievement for a club, let's not forget, are only in our second season back in top flight. Add another 3 quality players to the squad next summer and seriously, Maybe, just maybe we can push for the top 4.
  21. Phil, which one is you pal? I reckon its the one on the right in the sash kit.
  22. I think we are actually agreeing!
  23. Speak of yourself pal, a few of us have been grounded and realise where we are, probably over a season will finish 7th-9th but far from a top 4 side. Our first XI when everyone if fit and firing will give anyone a game but outside of 13-14 players lack depth. Of course we were called trolls and negative. As for today, I didn't see the game but it sounds like we were no worse than Liverpool were there a few weeks ago and lost to a very good side due to an error and a harsh penalty. Defeat not unexpected although the manner of it is. Losing away to arsenal no need to panic.
  24. Top bloke, he used to live near me in Wakefield Road. I remember seeing him in mikes chippy at the castle in Midanbury after a game one day and he signed me an autograph on chip paper, I was about 8 I think. Loved him as a player and shows how much football had changed that a top flight footballer in the 80s lived in a 3 bed semi in Midanbury.
