Bit of a coincidence that you've not been on line for a while and are now claiming someone pretending to be you is posting on a Blackburn forum at exactly the same time. Can someone quote please so MLG can see.

I'll be there tomorrow so that should stick a few thousand on the gate.

Osvaldo was returning from injury then.

We don't create much at all away from home. 5 goals in 7 games, one a debatable penalty, two from corners and one from a mistake in the first minute meaning the only goal we've created away from home this season was at Stoke.

Why do you think it is that when MP has had both Lambert and Osvaldo available and he's played one striker he's gone with Osvaldo?

I much prefer your Glasgow login pal.

Except of course there is a few shreds of evidence. The shred that he is a international forward for a top national side. The fact that he has a very good scoring record in Serie A and La Liga? the shred of evidence that our manager who people are raving about has managed him before and clearly had a hand in signing him. So now he needs to pick him and play him in his favoured position, up front on his own, the position he's picked him in over lambert in our tougher games when both have been fit. I keep hearing that the Southampton way is so amazing and that the chairman and manager are brilliant. Yet not when it comes to leaving out the fans favourite players. People are saying Osvaldo shouldn't start ahead of lambert because he's 'been gash' yet if it was Rodriguez it seems many are quite happy for that even though he has arguably been more affective than both this season. Make no mistake, Osvaldo was signed to play up front on his own and to the fact MP has chosen to do that away at Man United and Chelsea when both he and lambert have been available tells you what you need to know about the managers thinking. So the fact of the matter is that the manager and the much lauded 'Southampton way' sees Osvaldo as our first choice central striker so now it needs the manger to back him and play him in the position he clearly favours him for for an extend period and let him find his feet. there is plenty of evidence that suggests he is more than capable of doing so, despite the nonsense you've been spouting today.

you're derailing the thread.

How can anyone blame Gaston when he hasn't played this season? It's another good thread from Galsgow with raises some interesting points. Stop trolling please.

Our stats dont tell the full story. Despite some people insisting that we were having loads of shots at goal, in truth a lot of them dont really trouble the keeper. According to the stats on sunday we had 9 shots at goal yet we didnt create a single chance or trouble their keeper. Same goes for Man United, people pointed to us having more shots at goal as them as evidence of a fantastic performance, the truth be told De Geye had little to do, all his saves expect one from Clyne were routines ones with shots from distance and we scored from one of our few real chances, Whereas Man United had less shots at goal but hit the woodwork twice and forced Boruc into two or three class saves, it was a great performance at Man United but not for the reasons some claim of because we created loads more than them. So those that laud our performances based on shots on goal and stats need to have a rethink, if we are having so many attempts at target and scoring so few times it tells us one of two things. Either our strikers are missing a hatful of chances every game and arent up to it or teams are happy to sit back and let us pass it around them and then shoot from distance restricting the threat to the oppositions goal.

That's our catchment area mate. They're all Saints fans there.

What about all these people from Dartford to Truro who are coming by the coachload every week to see premier league football at Southampton?

I dont think he's really gay is he. He doesnt whoop everytime he speaks and say "go girlfriend". He never got a boner during the olympics when he was surrounded by other blokes in speedos. Not gay. hes just decided to be gay for a bit to get a bit of sympathy because he aint much good at diving anymore.
-
Yeah, he's just decided to be gay for a bit because he thinks it's cool.

Everywhere is my territory pal, there are no barriers when you've got a phone in your hand.

For Sunderland this season see QPR last. Making a raft of new signings at this level rarely works. Our summer business was spot on. 3 good players who have improved the squad, two of which have immediately improved the first, the other will given time.

"Taking Stock" Was all set to be the Echo headline when we were linked with signing Brian Stock back in L1.

Odd. Glasgow Saint lives there and i was up there on business. Pretty weird post IMO.

To be fair to Barry he is actually talking sense. Schiniderlin and Lallana are the players they are now in no small part due to the fact that they got regular game time at a lower level with us. If the club are serious about challenging at the top any 19,20 year old wanting to break into the side would have to be at that level or better, ie international standard. Shaw is an exception as he is clearly set for great things provided he can stay fit and focused. We all know that Schniderlin and Lallana weren't premier league level two or three years ago but they've grow with the team and developed away from the premier league, our current crop will have to do that in that unforgiving environment playing against international footballers most weeks. The idea seems to be that we have a strong 14-15 players and then supplement our first choice players with youth then when they are ready integrate them into the first XI. If it works then it's a great strategy. I just hope we dont get to the scenario whereby we are relying totally on youth and continue to invest and strengthen the first 11-15 as you cant expect to throw young players in at the deep end and expect them to swim.

It's highly unlikely we will have more than 1000 at this one so it will go to general sale. i wouldn't panic too much.

Mauricio Pochettino's Post-Match Reaction - Chelsea

do you think both of them are known for being great in the air? -

Ahh right, so we're going to judge a teams tactics on the clubs one of their players used to play for are we!!! , that's a good one pal. Surely Ba with all of his experience of playing hoofball and the way you claim Chelsea were playing would have scored his goal from a header from a humped ball into the box? Oh that's right he didn't. It came from a decent bit of wing play and good movement. Roughly 70% passing accuracy yet they scored 3 goals and dominated us in the second half. I'd much rather not score and have 95% accuracy We all know how stats give a skewed view of the game, the stats show we had 9 shots at goal and 49% poession, yet did we ever seriously test their keeper after the goal? -

No, they weren't playing it out from the back, they were getting it forward quickly, using the flanks effectively and pressing us up the pitch by playing two strikers. There is a world of difference to playing that way and neutralising us than there is to simply lumping it forward to the target man like you're making out. If this was the case who was the guy they were hoofing it to? Because Torres and Ba are amazing in the air arent they. -

Utter nonsense. Big difference between playing hoofball and lumping it forward to the big man up top. They got the ball forward quickly, moved it a lot quicker than they did in the first half and we were unable to cope with it. They were very good second half and played with power and energy. Making out they were just lumping it forward is horsesh*t.
