Not quite sure how that justifies killing innocent people though. Yes there were difference, but the bottom line is they've both done the same thing.
-
and my point was that both Gerry Adams and Nelson Madella were guilty of killing innocent people and also helped the peace process in their countries. Yet Mandela is being hailed as an inspiration and hero. Gerry Adams wont be. So you admit that you totally made up that i had justified the killing of innocent people? Mandela himself made numerous apologies and spoke of his regret at his actions, he admitted he was flawed and that the media image of this dear, lovable old man wasnt always correct and that he himself had been vicious and flawed in the past. He admitted it, it's a shame other cant when its mentioned and ccuse those that do of being racist and aparthied supporters. Like i said at the start, a desperation to appear cool and display what a lovely person they are.
-
To be fair, if i was living in South Africa i'd feel diferently about it. Its the faux despair of people that are calling him a hero an inspiration who has inspired them to do absoutely FA that i cant be doing with.
-
you seem to be making things up now pal. Where have i even suggested that i agreed with aparthied or the political system in South Africa back then or that murdering innocent people was justifiable? Can you show me as this seems to be purely an invention of your imagination. Whereas your comment was this "That the UK is well-governed with institutionalised spaces for dissent, making violence -or extralegal methods- much harder to justify whereas South Africa under apartheid was the polar opposite." SO if you can provide me with the quote where i justifed the murder of innocents that would be greatly appreciated. Good luck.

what does that have to do with you justifying the murder of innocent people?
-
At least 6th but settling for 11th, surely?
-
What on earth are you banging on about now?
-
I believe in angels, when i know the time is right for me i'll cross the sea, i have a dream...........
-
And there was me thinking this was a thread about Nelson Madela, a man who has been lauded as a hero and inspiration but was also a man who was responsible for the death of white South Africans!! Well done on the excellent work of playing that card, i'm amazed it took you until page 2 to come up with that. Still you're on record as justifying murder of innocent people so i'd think twice about taking the moral high ground pal.
-
DOnt worry about that mate, Shurlock has said that's fine and totally justified because the government in South Africa was corrupt.
-
Have I described the apartheid regime as Heroes and inspirational figures then? Show me where I've justified their actions. You're the one justifying murder pal
-
Good start. So Life is cheaper in Africa than Britain and the murder of innocent Africans to make political points Is justified there but not in the UK because of the government systems in place in the respective countries. Excellent start well made.

Isn't it just. Say something they dont like or ask a difficult question they dont like the answer to or unable to answer and it's trolling.
-
He was on the US terror list until 2008.

we could have won the double
-
I presume the death of Gerry Adams will be treated with similar outpouring of grief. What a great guy hey, brought peace to Ireland. A hero, an inspiration.
-
We could have won the cup and stayed where we were too.
-
Talking of missing the point Timmy, no one is mocking anyone for anything.
-
I'm not doing that at all. Asking some simple questions which people are unwilling or unable to answer. Not my problem this is the case Why have people been called racists for not joining in the grief yet some people said they were celebrating the death of Thatcher and no was bothered?
-
But we're out the cup, drop 5 league places, got a stack load of injuries and lost 4 of our last 5 so it wasn't was it.
-
This isnt right though is it. Only Chambers and Redd started, the rest that did were squad players like Lee, Fox and Hooliveld who we all know aren't good enough. If we'd used 4-5 young players then that is fair enough but we didn't, we used two with another as an 80th minute sub.
-
Agreed, i wish Solent Stars would answer the questions rather than spamming. I bear Mandella no ill and as i said above it never a good time when someone dies. I'm just wondering firstly why some people are being lamblasted as racists for not joining in with the outpouring of grief on here and what the difference is between what they've said and those that were claiming they would be celebrating Margert Thatchers death when no one batted an eyelid. Secondly i'm asking the question as to what this chap who has been labelled a legend and an inspiration has inspired those claiming this to do. Or maybe we should just have 500 posts all saying what a hero he is and RIP?
-
You're the one ruining the thread pal. I'm giving my opinion and asking valid questions. Why dont you answer them or are you too busy wiping tears from your eyes and holding your candle in the air morning hi death?
-
Including the rest they all had at Sunderland we've played 5 lost 4 and picked up loads on injuries en route. We'd have done so much worse if we'd have played a strong team that night..
