  1. I don't need to say it......
  2. To tune of the animals don't let me be misunderstood He's just a lad whose intentions are good That's why we all call him Tony Underwood
  3. There's an easier way mate. Just look at the final league table for the past 10 season, see what points the team that finished 4th had, then work it out yourself. Remember we don't need to finish one point higher than 5th, we need to finish one point higher than 4th. You're right, I am clever and popular and awesome And stuff but you don't need to be all of those things to check a few league tables.
  4. To put what we need to do into perspective 83/84 was our biggest ever top flight total, we got 77 points from a 42 games season. We'd probably need to perform better than that to get enough points to finish in the champions league place. so It would need our best ever top flight performance to finish 4th even though we'd probably finish 2 places lower. It's a huge ask however 'doable' people might think it to be.
  5. A few more than the team that usually finishes 7th, or something.
  6. Where on earth did you get this from Timothy? For starters we need to finish 4th not 5th so we need beat the team who finished 4th to do this. If as beat the team who finished 5th, guess what, we'd finish 5th. Secondly the points to finish 4th in the last 10 years have been 68-79 so an average of around 73. With us on 25 after 11, leaves us needing 48 from 27 we're looking at around 1.77 a game. Other than that you're bang on the money.
  7. First game this season and by no means a vintage performance but a good win. At no point did I ever think Leicester would hit us with a counter punch, we were rock solid at the back, although they are hardly ripping it up on the goal front. The positives, Wanyama was imense, seems to have gone up a level and can now pass, Some decent touches too. Some great hold up play and bring other into the game from Pelle. Two class finishes from Long, I can those two being a very good pair if we play two up top. Bertrand and Clyne good going forward and Fonte and Tony quality at the back. We kept possession well and Leicester were always at arms length. Negatives, the final ball was often dreadful, Tadic can't cross with his right and often tried an outside of the foot left which never got anywhere, Mane flattered to deceive, a couple of decent runs but never really did anything of note and was correctly substituted. Also felt we over played at times, one too many touches or flicks, not direct enough when we could have been. All In all we look a bloody good side though and showed we can break down organised and stubborn teams, which is something we struggled to do at times under poch. Looking forward to see how we do against City as they are nothing to fear right now.
  8. You're right alps. I keep hearing about this tough run we've got and yes Arsenal away and Chelsea will be tough. However City are not clicking at the moment, Man United haven't won away all season so I don't see why we can't come out of those unbeaten at the very least. Everton at home is very winnable too. Of course it's going to be difficult and they've all got quality players but nothing to fear at all.

    JayRod

He'll be back in good time, earlier than expected but later than hoped.
  10. So has it just been confirmed that all the never ending lazy lying scumbag journos accusations lodged against anyone who says anything that isn't 100% positive is in fact a load of horsesh it?
  11. Ha ha ha, that was very funny though, remember it well. 3,000 saints fans doing that and chants of "make a sub" LLoyd James, Ollie Lancashire, Paul Wotton, Matt Paterson in the team. That night i genuinely thought we might go down again that season, we were dreadful.
  12. The sort of player most fans under rate but his team mates love playing with. Just wish he could shoot!
  13. What, white on the left and red on the right?
  14. No problems pal, I will reveal more when I can but you'll all love it.
  15. Couldn't we avoid FFP by signing a £50m a year sponsorship deal with the Liebherrs?
  16. Do we have the same source?
  17. And my thread already has more posts on it than yours which means the people have voted with their keyboards and I'm more popular My thread is better My thread is the official 2015/16 kit thread Round of applause for me.
  18. Why did you have to delete it?
  19. So, you're like so bang on with this, like. I hate it when people say that and finish a sentance with period. Period.
  20. Did he indeed, maybe it is maybe not.
  21. I've been a big fan of carrick over the years, good soccerballist and one of the few we have who can retain the ball. But I agree, doesn't really make sense to me, another backward move from Roy.
  22. That's not the shirt mate
  23. It does seem to be a very tough ask for people to admit they're wrong. We all are from time to time, even me I freely admit I was wrong about Les Reed, 2 years ago I thought he was on a cushy number and little more than corteses puppet. The last 9 months have shown he's a real asset to the club. Never mind hey, I look forward to the next made up scenario as a get out clause
  24. I can confirm the kit will most definitely be a better quality than this years. Make of that what you will.
