The early 00s were the golden time mongboarding though. You could run riot for days on end, having large groups of posters really going for it. The amount of times the banter crew would come on here and take the p*ss was ridiculous. Now the mods have got heavy handed with infraction points and bans meaning that it never really goes off on the main boards any more so you're best off looking for it in small groups on the bigger threads or on the lounge. People talk about Barry Sanchez and Glasgow as the top boys of today but they wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in the old days. The problem with a lot of the youngster coming through is their more worried about post count and avatars than actually having it. You wouldn't get then wading onto a stadium expansion thread outnumbered and taking on MLG and Franks Cousin for example. They just want to be see on threads looking like they want it but always looking to the mods for protection. The good old days are gone I'm afraid and if you play up these days you're risking a ban so whilst you do get the odd good row now and again it'll never be like the old days and why Essruu had hung up his keyboard only showing now and again. At least we can look back at the old threads and laugh about them, saying 'I was there' taking liberties on the seating threads, something the posters or today will never be able to do.

Also only an average of 2.4 shots on target per game so we're conceeding more than one in five of those, pretty poor by any standard. I go there quite a bit for work, usually stay in the Hilton on William Street, central to town, got a decent sauna and swimming pool and reasonable. I've also stayed at three premier Inns, the Radison blue, which was massively over rated, the Erskine Bridge, which was cheap but dreadful. If you can stretch to it marr hall is fantastic, £25 in a taxi into town though. It still the usual excitable morons spouting it, look who started this thread for evidence. although this time they have a bit more substance. We've got a deeper and better squad now than last season, what appears to be a better manager so far and in Pelle the striker Osvaldo was meant to be. Throw into the mix that many of the top 7 staples of the last few years are underachieving right now then perhaps the door is more open now than a year ago. However whilst we appear to be stronger now then last season it would still be an incredible achievement to finish top 6 and still depends on a lot going right for us and wrong for bigger clubs than us.

The players and staff aren't the ones talking about. The board are quietly going about their business as they should do and the players are doing their talking on the pitch, not running their mouths off about what we are going to do like some people I could mention, which is exactly how it should be.

Top 6 would be an awesome achievement, we'd have to finish above one of Spurs, Everton, Man United and Liverpool, all top 7 staples, far bigger clubs than us with far greater incomes. In fact two finishes in the top 8 would be given the upheval in the summer. People need to rein it in a bit, for us to finish above one of those clubs would be fantastic, to finish above 3 or 4 of them to finish top4 would be something of a miracle.

I really like him, seems like a decent down to earth guy who is happy to be here. None of the big club, champions league winner arrogance that some bit part players at top clubs have.

Personally rather win a cup than finish top 4 anyway.
