So correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the point of a forum was discussion and debate. If you don't agree with someone's opinion then surely you are entitled to question it? Or is it more case that only one view is allowed and anyone that doesn't subscribe to the popular view is a WUM?

We've got two excellent full backs, the top notch centre half we've been crying out for but above all else an excellent experienced goalkeeper that the defence trust and commands his area. Being a good goalkeeper is not about doing spectacular saves for the cameras. It's about communication, commanding the area, coming and claiming crosses AND being able to make important saves. When people said last summer Davis wasn't up to it the Leeds game and a few of his saves were pointed at to defend him. Those that understand the game knew he couldn't command his box, flapped at crosses and despite making the odd spectacular save, he was a mile from being the answer for us as a primeur league keeper. Our improvement defensively last season coincided with his improved fitness and run in side and now we have a centre half of real quality in front of him it's gone from strength to strength.

As I said, it's not my problem people can't handle an opinion different to their own, or even to have their own challenged.

Couldn't have asked for any more. I'd been a bit critical of MP and whilst one swallow doesn't make a summer we are 4th and still haven't really clicked into gear yet. We've not had the toughest of starts but there are no easy games at this level and you can only beat what's in front of you.

Which is an absolute contradiction of what you'd said before about players coming here because it's near the sea and the new forest, decent schools and a nice place to live. You also said that our own talented youngsters will ignore Man United and Chelsea and the £100k a week salaries to stay at saints and play with their mates. Consistent as ever Les.

Anyone that thinks two games define a season is an idiot. We beat Man City and Chelsea last season yet lost against QPR and Wigan. If people had labeled any of those 4 season defining games we'd either have been relegated or won the title. No surprise coming from someone that claims shots at goal rather than actually bloody well scoring and winning is the benchmark of a good performance though.

I don't remember it like that, I think he ended up at Chelsea a year or so later. I may be wrong but I'm sure it wasn't a choice between us and them.

Hilariously a lot of people used the region being an affluent area as one of the reasons why we need to expand, yet now we are being told that the price of tickets is the reason why we aren't selling out the capacity we have.
