So surely they critise the coach for yet again attempting a system whih has failed so often previously? Its not me angrily tapping away at the keyboard tubby. Just merely exploring your reasoning as to why you are expecting the media to make Rickie Lambert the scapregoat if we fail to beat Moldova. There doesn't really seem to be one, other than you think they wont blame anyone else. It's a bit odd.

IN the real world he is.
-
Because the media have never questioned if Gerrard and Lampard can play together before have they.

I've not been to an England home game for years but a few of us are going to the Poland game. I'm starting to wish i hadn't bothered to be honest.
-
Dont feel for him, he might have a perfectly valid reason why he thinkg if England fail to beat Moldova the fury of the nation will turn on the guy making his first start for his country and who was the darling of the media only 3 weeks ago. I'm sure there is one, so i'm waiting to hear it.

why?

Do you really think if England fail to beat Moldova the target for the medias fury will be Rickie Lambert?
-
Moldova ain't Italy.

Like I said at the time and was shouted down for saying, it was ironic that one the day saints fans were overjoyed Lambeet made his England debut they were practically begging the club to sign a player who would probably take his place in the saints side.

Would he rather have lost one eye and won 42 England caps or be deaf and have won the FA cup?

Do we still own Jacksons farm?
-
So its a hairdressers car?

You pick a team to win a match, IMO JWP is not the right player to start against West Ham.
-
Yep, probably the case for some of them, but surely they must at some point realise that it all they are going to get?? On that note didn't we try and sign Nicky Butt when he was a free agent when Pardew was here but he wanted £30k a week.

There are some really good players on there, mental to think some of them can't get clubs when you think of the dross that is out there.

The Future of English Football - and are Saints playing their part?
Turkish replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
No offence Bessie but its the mongboard pecking order. People you take things as gospel from are as follows Me Monk Glasgow Dig dig -
WE need to stop this obsession with playing youth players and pick our best XI. Also we need more power in midfield than Ward Prowse is able to offer, I fear he'll get bullied by Nolan. Bring Clyne back and hopefully Shaw will be fit by then.

Harry Redknapp was spouting off on talksport again this morning, but he did make a couple of salient points. You never see kids playing football in the street or on bits of waste land over here like they used to, in South America and central Europe where all the best players seems to come from these days they do. There the ball bounces of walls, uneven ground and bits of metal and its there you learn how to control, pass and dribble the ball properly from a young age when it comes to you at unpredicatable angles and bounces. No one taught George Best how to dribble or Bobby Charlton how to shoot. He also questioned the desire of a lot of younger players, saying alot of them arent really interested in the national team and more interested in the club.I agreed entirely with what he was saying. -
And that's because you've got top players going out on loan. Seriously, Chelsea were after a £3m loan fee for Ba, a player that cost them £7m only 8 months ago. How is this right? If the loan system were used properly and how it was meant for they'd either be stuck with Ba or have to sell him. You'd also hopefully stop club stockpiling their squads with players they dont need and have to use them or sell them - see Scott Sinclair on loan at WBA from City FFS

does anyone else think it has become a farce? How can it be right that clubs like Liverpool and Everton are able to loan players from clubs like Chelsea & Man City. Depsite the excitement on here (which makes this thread Saints related) I found it a little embarassing we were linked with a loan move for Victor Moses. The loan system was set up to enable smaller clubs to boost their squad if they got injures and for younger players to get first team experience at a lower level, not for rich clubs to farm out their players, get large loan fees and sit back and watch their players take points off their opponents in their quest for the title whilst being unable to play against them and do damage to their own chances. We also have loaned Puncheon out to Crystal Palace so it also applies to us from here, again how can it be right that we are loaning out a player to another club that is on record as saying he wants the move for "personal reasons" Well in that case leave. I'm all for loaning out younger players to championship and L1 clubs and even if our squad players want to get match pratice but loans between clubs in the same division is a joke, especially when it's top clubs and players involved. Chelsea will benefit from having a weaker opposition squad when not having Luaka and Moses face them when they play Everton and Liverpool but every other club in the division will. Surely this threatens the integrity of the competition.
