We are a Good side, are we good enough to finish above One of Man United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs? Im not so sure. so we can realistically finish 7th-10th. We could finish above Everton to get 7th but that would be great achievement. IMO we will finish 8th or 9th. This would still be a great achievement for a club, let's not forget, are only in our second season back in top flight. Add another 3 quality players to the squad next summer and seriously, Maybe, just maybe we can push for the top 4.

Phil, which one is you pal? I reckon its the one on the right in the sash kit.
-
I think we are actually agreeing!

Speak of yourself pal, a few of us have been grounded and realise where we are, probably over a season will finish 7th-9th but far from a top 4 side. Our first XI when everyone if fit and firing will give anyone a game but outside of 13-14 players lack depth. Of course we were called trolls and negative. As for today, I didn't see the game but it sounds like we were no worse than Liverpool were there a few weeks ago and lost to a very good side due to an error and a harsh penalty. Defeat not unexpected although the manner of it is. Losing away to arsenal no need to panic.

Top bloke, he used to live near me in Wakefield Road. I remember seeing him in mikes chippy at the castle in Midanbury after a game one day and he signed me an autograph on chip paper, I was about 8 I think. Loved him as a player and shows how much football had changed that a top flight footballer in the 80s lived in a 3 bed semi in Midanbury.

The IBO was set up by posters so sick to death of Romsey Stu that they set up their own forum to get away from him. True story. He regularly gets rinsed and exposed on TUI so doesn't psot anywhere near as much as he used to.

couldn't find one with the Saints goals on the 2004 game. 4 players around Van Persie and not one of them makes a challenge FFS.

We were riding high in the table at this game too, think it might have been up to third at one point during this run. in fact there are a lot of similarities, a young exciting team playing good football, doing better than anyone thought and everyone loved us. We conceded a shed load more goals though. Sadly most of that team would end up being sold off and replaced with rubbish.
-
Dont remember the pen but i wasnt at the game, but yes it was Van Persie in the 93rdish minute. Just found it an amazing coincidence that both games finished 2-2, both of them were due to injury time Arsenal equalisers and both results had far reaching consequences for one of the clubs.

Yes i would return it and have done in the past. A few years back i was walking through the park up by the Cenotaph behind a bloke who was carrying a load of bags, his wallet fall out on the floor some of the contents spilt out on the floor, he had no idea he had dropped it and no one was around so i could have kept it. The thought actually didn't enter my mind, i picked up his wallet and put the bits that had fallen out back in and chased after him to give it back, there was probably about £200 in cash in there plus credit cards and a couple of vouchers.

This fixture has actually been two of the most important in both club histories in the past. Previous fixtures in this game would ultimately be the difference between success and faliure for each club. Ironically both of them ended 2-2 with Arsenal scoring injury time equalisers in both. in 1988 Saints led 2-1 going into injury time and Arsenal snatched an equaliser in the 8th minute of injury time, time added on due to Arsenal midfield Paul Davis slying punching Glen Cockerill off the ball and out of view of the officials, the punch would break the Saints players jaw. That punch and the added injury time meant on the last day of the season Arsenal were able to travel to Anfield still able to win the title. History shows they did with another late goal, however but for that punch then that might never have happened. Then in 2004, Saints again led 2-1 going into injury time. Another injury time equaliser for Arsenal would level the scores and history would show that had Saints managed to hold out then we would have stayed up that season on goal difference. So arugably this fixture in the past has been pivitol to both clubs histories.

I wasn't insulting the other 3 posters, stating FACTS about them and things they've shared with the board themselves. -

How am i a hypocrite? I fully admit i enjoy taking the p*ss out of the mugs on here. The funny thing is a few people have waded onto the thread having a go at me for doing it and then doing the same thing themselves on the same post, that's hypocritical pal. I haven't said anything that is untrue either, Andy666 is an up his own arse know it all, Mikey did drop out of Uni, Bowers did work at McDonalds and fell on his arse doing a short sprint and is now struggling in a call centre where he has went to his union because they moved his lunch break! SO rather than taking pops at people im simply stating FACTS and suggesting they might be the reason why young people encourage hostility.
