I agree, Nick is a good guy and done a lot for fans over the last 30 years or so, a more loyal fan you will not meet. Some of the helmets on here seem to give him a hard time and although some of the stuff he does hasn't always worked out he's always had the best interests of the club and its fans at heart and he's actually got off his arse and done something rather than whinging on a message board about it.

But you think Lampard is sh*t so you should really never post on a football forum again.
-
You wouldn't fit in over there.
-
I'd agree with that, far more knowledgeable and a lot less happy clappy. There are one or two that seem to enjoy finding fault in anything SFC related but in general people take it all a lot less seriously and aren't such delicate little flowers as they are on here.
-
That's not true Jamie, there are two or three posters with an agenda, everyone else takes the p*ss out of them.
-
How dare they not mention us!! More evidence of the anti saints agenda in the media.
-
League one saints would beat England around he same time.
-
I think they make very good signings, but if we sign striker and winger msybe we finish the best.
-
I feel like that on here sometimes, in the last few months every team that finished in around us has been slammed as awful,we've had players like Frank Lampard described as s*it. All other clubs business in the transfer window is terrible and everyone who finished from 8th down this season is going to struggle next, all the above excludes us of course, who have done everything brilliantly and are all set to flourish after our brilliance last season.
-
A terrible team that finished 3 places above us and we failed to beat, yes?
-
Add for the average list Graham Le Saux, David Howells, trod Egil Soltvedt and Scott Marshall as possibly our worst ever.
-
True, look what he did to the careers of Frank lampard, Rip Ferdinand and Joe Cole.

Simon Moore -another one that slipped through our fingers?

I slipped through the net too. My problem was similar to Ramirez in that the players I was playing with were sh*te and I was on a totally different wavelength to them so I too looked just as bad. The reality is that I am good enough to be a full international if I was playing with better players. Saints loss and Harlow Hill vets gain. -

Kevin Phillips and Dennis Wise too. -
A year ago some people were indignant that Adkins was the next great British manager, could be the new Alex Ferguson, definitely going to be England manager one day and will probably be wanted be Liverpool, Spurs when they look for a new boss. The 'in Adkins we trust' mantra was regularly trotted out. Yet now he's a clueless Bumpkin who was out of depth. despite doing no better Pochettino is now hailed as world class manager better than Adkins or career wise no better than a host of other managers the mugs on here write off as being terrible.

Not as a starter, like I said, if we needed someone to come on with 10 minutes to go when we needed a goal then he could have done that Job and I dare say he'd have got a couple, he is a goal poacher and little else. Long term though, no he isn't the answer. I actually thought Mayuka would replace Lee in the squad.
-
Nice try and the black and white scenario. Neither of them deserve a place so far IMO, of course I'll stand to be proven wrong on Mayuka, time will tell if he is the new Drogba or the new Manny Sidebe. However my point was that last season it was likely going to be the case where there would be times when we would be chasing a game and Sharp would have been the man likely to nick one. Long term he isnt the answer but I felt he could have done a job last season and there is little doubt he would have done more than Mayuka who replaced him.
-
I don't think sharp is a premier league player, however like I've said, he couldn't possibly have contributed LESS than Mayuka last season, for that reason I think he's got a bit of a raw deal from us as he was replaced in the squad by a guy who did nothing. I think he should be replaced by a better player but based on last seasons evidence he wasn't.
-
Kevin Davies.
-
So at worst he wouldn't have contributed any less then, yes? In fact he actually scored a goal, albeit against Steveage, but regardless in less than a month he did more than Mayuka did in a season.
-
But we know Maykua contributed next to nothing.
-
Well neither of them would be as we have Lambert and Rodriguez ahead of them. Point is do you think Sharp might have nicked a goal or two coming on as a sub when we were chasing a game last season? I reckon he would have.
-
Both Japan and Uraguay had qualified for the confederation cup when we signed Yoshida and Ramirez so actually we would have known. What were you saying about being dense?
-
Clyne isn't available and has no form at th moment.
-
De ridder has pace too, doesn't mean he'll be good in the premier league. The point was that Mayuka contributed nothing last season, he may come good he may not but last season I'd put money on Sharp nicking a goal as a late sub when we were chasing the game. Sharp isn't a premier league player but last season I'm certain he'd have done more for us than Mayuka did.
