do your sums properly or use the PAYE tax calculator, it actually works out at betwen £65-£70k a week, before his 1m euro signing on fee and why are you outraged? No one else is, just pointing out that is isn't a FACT that none of our squad earn more than £50k a week, either that or ramirez made up his wages and lied about them.
-
Direct quote here. But it's alright because Road Saints said he knows for a fact that no one earns this at Saints so Ramirez must have been lying. http://www.insidefutbol.com/2012/08/17/they-will-pay-me-so-much-money-liverpool-target-gaston-ramirez-set-for-southampton/67264/

oh so she's to blame. *launches twitter tirade in her direction* -
Yep, i remember all that. It did happen, as well as some posts that this was the greatest Saints team of all time and Nigel Adkins was the next great English manager and the new Alex Ferguson* *for the benefit of helmets like Stug76, not everyone said this, but some people did.

One of MLG's finest ever posts came about whilst we were in L1 when insisted we were the most attractive club for a player outside of the top 4 in the premier league.

Is it usual for the buying club to pay all the agent fees? I always assumed that the total figure of the transfer was the figure quoted with a percentage of the total fee going to the agent, hence why so many deals are "undisclosed" these days. If this is the case and i'm only going by what i thought would be the case, is the agent demanding more than the usual percentage that he would get? If so then the agent is trying to screw over Celtic as well, they clearly want to cash in as they've said he can go for the right offer. they aren't going to be too happy if he isn't sold this summer as his value is only going to decrease with just a year left on his contract.

is an example of where we lead and others follow? Apart from Cardiff, obviously.

I had a mate visit family in Uruguay and say him play when he was out there. He said he was awful, missed three one on ones, kept putting crosses over the bar and into the crowd, Lightweight, poor first touch and could pass wind 5 yards let alone a football. One to be avoided at £8m, he reckons he's probably worth a punt at about £4m as he's young, hungry and guarenteed to improve.

The ones that 'get it' are the ones for whom football is not about cup finals, league titles, celebrating big money transfers on facebook and twitter, wearing the club shirt down the pub to prove their loyalty, and 'banter' at work between fans of other big clubs who never got to games either. It's not people who looked at the league table one day and decided they needed to support a premier league team so chose one who were in the top 4. It's about tuesday nights in Hartlepool and Oldham, away days at places you would never have any reason to be at apart from the football. Places like Huddersfield and Orient aren't just small clubs that making up the numbers, they are memories of great days out and stories to be told. It's easy to be a fan in good times, when Man United come to town or when there is a chance of glory, not so easy when you've travelled 200 miles to see us lose without so much a wimper. It's easy to pay your sky subscription and tune into Super Sunday and think you're part of the greatest hype on the planet, not so stick with the team you've supported all your life and pay out your money season after season when at times you dont even know why you do it. Every club has these fans, not just small clubs or Saints, however football has changed and clubs arent interested in fans like this anymore. they want the ones that have the 'matchday experience' that buy the tickets, the pies, the programmes and take a trip to the club shop to stock up on mugs, posters, the lastest special addition training top. They want fans that enjoy sitting in silence listened to piped music in fake atmospheres created by marketing men. Football clubs dont want fans anymore, they want consumers and sadly an awful lot of people at matches these days are just this.

He's at the u20 World Cup, nothing will happen to after.
-
So they plucked the figure out of the sky.
-
So you're saying Ramirez lied then?
-
Lots of nonsense from different sources.

Alex crook

If he goes to Cardiff then fair play to them, they are this season what we were last.

Its not like L1 fella, players aren't going to come here because we are a massive club in this league and a great step up for them. The reality is most players will sign will be from clubs who are at least as big as us and often bigger. Players won't come here because they always dreamt of playing for a club like Southampton, they already are, or a bigger one. We have to convince players at this level that we are the right club for them to realise their ambitions, be that play in England, international ambitions whatever, the problem is for a lot of players we seem to be targeting they probably won't view us initially as a step up, not least until they've entered negotiations and actually spoken to the chairman.

Ramirez is on 2m euros a year NET, works out about £65k depending on exchange rate.
-
Yes there is. ramirez is for starters, this came From Ramirez.

We've established tonight that despite running around a lot he's only involved for 5 minutes a game on average, only passes sideways or backwards apart fon when he panics and lumps it forward and has a shocking disaplinary record. Still think he's worth £12m?
-
Not from the videos MLG linked. Perspiration over inspiration. FACT
-
So he's on the ball or chasing it down for an average of 5 minutes in the games you've linked. That's almost £1m per minute.
-
£12m is not a punt mate!
-
one forward ball for every 9 sideways or backwards ones, quite a few humps forward and lots of running around. The " dont mess about with it, get it forwarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd" brigade at SMS will love him.
-
oh that's alright then, he was only chasing shadows for 58 minutes.
