And more to the point not many of them are, despite pace being on the wishlist for most people on here.
-
What we need is a powerful, strong, dominante centre half who is great in the air, fast and never makes mistakes.
-
Decent young player in wanting to play more shocker. Nothing to see here people.
-
Exactly. So the only big, powerful, dominante centre half who is also very quick we can find in the whole of Europe would cost us 49 million Euros and 780k a month wages. I think we might have to forget about the pace attribute in our search for a centre back.

if they are good enough they play. If they dont they leave. No room for sentiment.
-
yeah, they definitely would be thrown off site if they'd have put some small edible pulses to hold up a wall.
-
In a back 3 with Mark Wright for his ability on the ball and Terry Butchers bravery, yes? Paul Parker and Stuart Pearce as wing backs??
-
i rest my case. what we he cost, £30m?

Ladies fashion; do stripes really make you look slimmer?
Turkish replied to scotty's topic in The Muppet Show
No, stripes dont make you look thinner, a health balanced diet and regular excercise routine does. -
You are going to be disapointed. Not many of those around and the ones that do are worth £20m upwards. The reality is a 15stone big, powerful dominating centre half is not going to be as quick as an 11 stone winger as well. Seriously, have a think and name the ones that are big and strong dominant in the area and quick as well.

I understand we had some Irish builders in called O'reilly who were kicked offsite because they fitted a wooden lentil on the door to corteses new kitchen.

He's 18 FFS!!! Every decent footballing team needs a "bits and pieces" player. One that isn't spectacular but wins the loose balls, keeps it simple, retains posession, always available to recieve a pass in midfield and does the simple things well. What every team doesn't need is a glory player, playing hollywood balls (giving it away 9 times out of 10) and trying to be the main man all the time. I would say that Jark Cork has been one of out most effective players this season and our performances improved markedly when he played, he is very much the type of player i described yet i guess you would say he hasn't because he hasn't contributed much at the "business end".
-
Why? What's the difference? Why would one learn more sitting on the bench whilst another will learn more from playing? Wouldn't he be better off going on loan of he's not going to play much?
-
Right So on the one hand we'll slam players at other clubs who join them to sit on the bench rather than playing for a team lower down the table or in a Lower league, yet when it's our own player he'd learn far more from sitting on the bench than playing regularly for a smaller club further down the table.

Jokes about bears? I don't get it.

* calls Nick 'this squad is good enough to finish 6th' G to the thread*

I has a similar problem with car, the 4th cylinder had gone and it was effecting the fuel injection, which was affecting the acceleration. Would get to about 60 and go no further. Was about £500 to fix at a diesel specialist. I'm sure you had a seat Leon though Jamie.
-
I doubt that'll happen under Rodgers, he's an excellent manager who won't be spunking money on the likes of Andy Carroll.
-
If he goes they'll have £50m to spend, I'd expect them to invest that well and might actually be better for it.
-
A finished 8th when Lowe was here and we had no investment!
-
Well 3 of them have new managers so in a transition period and Arsenal have been in decline for years. Top 4 is there for the takingIMO
-
On another note Cortese looks impressive in that picture. Sharp suit, neatly cut hair and expression that says "i mean business" He surely is one of the best dressed and most impressive chairman in the country from that point of view.

Go on then.
