  1. We also have to play 7 of the bottom 10 away, I'm sure we'll pick up points from these games. Provided we don't get stage fright again of course.
  2. If they get a result at Newcastle next week which isn't beyond the realms of possibility given their form, it brings them right back Inn touching distance and drags Newcastle right into it.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised. Would Redknapp still be a terrible clueless manager who bankrupts clubs then?
  4. On another note LOL at Redknapp describing Tarabats performance today against Fulham as 'an all time great performance'
  5. The fellas watching it on soccerball Saturday said they played very well. So what's your point?
  6. Anf then our captain admitting after some of them were overawed. Fine, we'll lose, we'll play badly. It happens. What isn't fine is being star struck playing away at a midtable side that were good once.
  7. And now you've resorted to abuse. Oh dear. Sure sign youre losing the arguement.
  8. See my post above. 'the occasion got to us' 'we showed them too much respect' ' we didn't believe in our own ability as much as we should have' Oh dear.
  9. Idiotic?. How so? here are our captains comments if you missed them. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10085258.Saints_suffered_stage_fright__says_Lallana/ Despite being lucky enough to play at Anfield themselves, Villa, who were below us, managed to find it from somewhere to score 3 goals and not be so filled with wonder at the sight of The Kop they forgot they had a job to do. Yes, an idiotic observation.
  10. More bollo*cks as usual because someone dare to say anything isn't amazing connected with SFC. It's not so much the performance, every team has an off day. It's the admission by our captain that we were overawed by the occasion.
  11. I don't see what people problem is with my observation. A team below has just won comfortably on a ground where our captain admitted we were starstruck only 2 weeks ago. Bury your head in the sands if you like but this is worrying.
  12. Hang on a minute. I made an observation about the difference between us and Villa, how our captiain admitted we got stage fright and you started going on about Villas performance at st Mary's. Why are you linking the two if that wasnt your intention?
  13. Got to love MLG justifying our players bottling it at Anfield because Villa were rubbish at St Mary's in September. Brilliant logic.
  14. What does that have to do with them winning 3-0 at a ground our players were starstruck at two weeks ago?
  15. I'm not harping on about it. Merely making a very valid comment on th difference in attitude of the two sides. Keep justifying it though I'm sure you'll convince yourself that our 1-0 defeat wa a great result.
  16. Doesn't it also say Villa have more bottle than us? Afterall by our captains admission we were starstruck when we went to Anfield. How embarassing.
  17. They are winning 3-0 at Anfield. Thw same place our poor little soildiers got frightend playing at. What does that say about us?
  18. Lallana admitted the players got stage fright at Anfield. Embarassing that Villa can go there and win comfortably.
  19. What are you on about now?
  20. Villas performance at Liverpool shows how utterly embarassing our 'stage fright' was at Anfield two weeks ago.
  21. If he can play well of pitches that are not much better than school playing fields imagine how excellent he could be on the bowling green like surfaces of premier league clubs.
  22. Great cross for Lamberts goal wasn't it.
  23. Lee played well again Derby and Barnsely last season. He is going to be a massive player for us IMO
  24. I think some of you need to cast your minds back to our first season in L1 and a fantastic goal scored by Brentford at SMS. An attacking full back ran at our defence skinned 4 players and delivered a peach of a cross for a Brentford goal. Who was thst player? Oh that right the one Pardew was so keen to sign during the following summer. Look at Pardews business for us, the vast majority of his signings have been hits. Why would Ryan Dickson be any different? He's hardly been given a chance here and he's proved he can be a real threat going forward.
  25. I'm Assuming none of you have noticed the ease with which it is to access the stadium this season. The quick and simple process of interesting your season ticket card card into the machine which then provides hassle free access? The reduced queues due to this slick process. Where do you think the funds for this project is going to come from? Should we ask the Liebherrs to write more cheques to improve the matchday experience or should fans share some of the burden? You claim you don't want to be in debt and that the club will be self sustaining, you all claim you dont want to 'do a Pompey' yet when asked to dig into your pockets to back the club you claim to support its nothing but ungrateful, spoilt, moaning behaviour. The booking fee is entirely fair and reasonable. There are wages to pay, technology to pay for to improve your matchday experience but it's just whinge, whine, moan from the usual suspects. I applaud Cortese for the booking fee and moving us into line with other ticket booking processes for other forms of entertainment. It's a real leap forward into the 21st century for the club. If you back the chairman and genuinely want us to be self sustaining then you should do the same.
