I also feel that there are too many rumours of him working in "intolerable conditions" for them to be just made up bulls*t. The Brook is great for older bands and tribute acts. The Joiners was always the place to go for upcoming bands. They'd had the likes of the Manic Street Preachers, Suede, Oasis, Charlatans, Artic Monkeys and Libertines all play there before they made it. And of course the famous Nivana gig in the last 80's which people swear blind they were at that never actually happened!

My ideal choice would be Claudio Raneri. I think he's got the temperment to handle working with Cortese, the presence in the game to attact decent players who would want to come and play for him and the experience of the division and also other top leagues in Europe as well as being a good manager. I just dont think he'd leave Monaco unless Cortese was able to really persuade him that there was a really exciting challenge to be had here.
