Nice facious response. The point being that there is absolutely no way of knowing that we'd have won 1-0 if Davis had been in goal, it's not like he's a reliable proven, non error prone keeper is it. He might well have made another gaff that lead to a goal. The fact is none of our three goalkeepers are good enough. Gazza might well be one day, Boruc might be if he can lose about 5 stone, Davis just isnt.

Heres an idea, want to stop kids sitting on street corners getting p*ssed, dont put the price of alcohol up, bring the price of other entertainment down. The increase point seems to be 16 or 18, at that age if you are in college most kids dont have a great deal more cash than they did at school. Even going to the cinema these days can cost you £20 minimum by the times you've got there, seen the film and brought refreshments. Why would you do that when you can get p*ssed for a fiver with all your mates?

I always laugh at this sort of logic. Logic doesn't dictate that at all. Logic dictates that how do we know that Davis would have kept it out, that he wouldn't have made another error that cost us, that the header Gazza saved Kelvin might not have got too, that with his kicking being worse he might have given the ball away which led to another chance which they may have scored from. Logic certainly does not dicatate that if we'd have had a different keeper in goal we would have won.

Which is why i said it's unrealistic to sign England players like he did. Plenty of experienced men around though that would come here.

Lawrie Mac mastered it. Some good young players with a handful of experiences pros to balance it out. Obviously it's unrealistic to expect us to sign England players like he did but a few season pros would be no bad thing, even if they dont play every week just having them around and their experience can only help the younger ones out.
