If you could pick one player from another team in the PL....
Turkish replied to ToreSF's topic in The Saints
Yep, the type of player we missing. -
Cortese has to take some responsibility. It was an odd decision to drop Puncheon who has been playing well and we were exposed on flanks yet again. Far too lightweight in midfield too. Cortese got his tactics and selection wrong today I'm afraid.
-
I'm getting mixed messages. What happened?
-
Good to hear it, elegant and sophisticated, I reakon Mayuka might be our leaping salmon in the box.
-
What is the new formation?
-
Majestic swans are the new leaping salmon?
-
We should have stayed Loyal to Billy Sharp.
-
Why some get their knickers in a twist about a paper getting our line up wrong I don't know.
-
Which was nicely summed up by that other clueless c*nt we love to have a pop at, Mark Lawreson on MOTD last week.
-
This is the forum that thought it would be a great idea to sing the wheels on the bus.
-
Possibly the worst attempts I've ever seen.

The best saints perfotmance i've ever witnessed
Turkish replied to The Majestic Channon's topic in The Saints
You do know if that happened today the headlines would be........ Fergie rage as Ref denies United Sloppy Reds slump at Saints Fortune favours Saints as Devils slayed Using Man U as Liverpool were the dominate team in those days as United are now. (yes I know Man City won the league last season but United are still the team to beat, for now) -
You disagree that they are similar then?
-
It's quite simple. They are compared because there are a lot of similarities. Just because you lot isn't like it it doesn't make it untrue.
-
As Lawreson highlighted on MOTD last Saturday, but he's a c*nt who knows f*ck as well isn't he?
-
Maybe it's because there are a lot of similarities, no?
-
Waaah, waaaah, Waah and the formation is wrong and we've signed Boruc this week, Waah Waah, waaah, i hate the media, I hate all pundits, they are sh*t.
-
 No! They are in yours!!
-
Why are they using the old colours for the kit we used to play in? Should really have been all red with a very thin white pinstripe.
-
It's fashionable fella. Arthur, Charlie, Alfie, Frank, Harry, Henry & Jack. All old school names and also names of kids I know.
-
Did you do the RKC minimum and then move onto the rite of passage?
-
Do you follow a particular programme Adrian?

To be honest mate, it's a gym at home, so i'd pay for the best quality i could afford was. Paid about £45 for my 16kg via my instructor, so i'd shop around for a Dragon Door or Fitness mad one. I'lll be getting a 24kg one soon, so i'll be looking at paying about £80-£90 for that.

Enter the Kettlebell is also a really good book to buy.
-
Your level of fitness depends on what one to start with. The recomended one for a normal bloke of average fitness is a 16kg one. The instructor that trained me uses this company http://www.fitness-mad.com/products/search?keywords=kettlebells http://www.dragondoor.com Dragon Door also do good quaity ones. Some people will say it doesn't matter what one you use but if your serious about taking it up and want to progress to a decent level then you need a cast iron one with a good solid grip on it and overall it has to just feel right, you'll know what i mean when you go from using a decent quality one to a crap one. Our gym also has some cheaper ones and some decent ones and you can really feel the difference between them. You'll end up with all sorts of blisters and callouses if the handle isn't right. The thing to remember is whilst it may not look much, you're throwing around something weight of a case you'd take on holiday for 20 minutes at a time! They might seem expensive initally but they'll last years and the great thing is that you can get your kettlebell out anytime and so it anywhere. I've been a bit slack the last month or so but you can go out and do a 20 minute blast in the garden or garage any time. It's also worth finding a local club and doing an induction to learn the basic moves properly, the swing, clean and press, snatch and turkish get up, the basic idea is that all the power comes from your core with your arms really just supporting the movement, you see loads of people get their technique wrong though and have the KB flying all over the place as their using their arms and shoulders rather than core. They are a brilliant tool though and excellent for an all over conditioning and strengthening work out.
