I said the same thing and agree wholeheartedly with your last comment.

And the fact is we NEED to spend cash to stay up. Dont see that being an issue TBH. Will he be the first manager to be booed on his first game? If it happens of course.
-
I've done the same.
-
Nixon was just asked if there are any truth in the rumours and he said "i expect this to happen" Could be gospel, could be a nothing comment from a lying journalist. I'll leave you to decide. edit. Now tweeted "heard he would go last night from someone with an interest in the scene. Expect some news today"

Yes, i'm really struggling to think of a better one. The fanciful names like Benitez and Laurent Blanc apart. The ideal man for the job is Claudio Ranieri but cant see him leaving Monaco for a relegation fight.
-
That's all Reeds role though. He said himself Adkins focues on the coaching and he is director of the science, academy, recruitment and kit departments.
-
Even now, 5 (?) years on, it never fails to raise laugh.
-
He would get us established a premier league club. He is too old to be considered the long term answer anyway.
-
Exactly. He'd be perfect. Give him a 2 1/2 year deal, establish us in the premier league, which he would do and then let him go. All those going on about youth players, the reality is the likes of Shaw and JWP are 17 years old would still be barely 20 by the time he went, most players dont really break into premier league sides at that age anway.
-
He is the ideal man to establish us as a premier league club in the short term. I dont like the bloke but the reality is there are few available who are better.
-
Isn't it time we gave Cody Cropper a run out?
-
I will keep an eye on it. Be sure of that.

I asked you a question. What criteria do you apply to decide if Wesh Ham are bigger than Doncaster? They were in the same divison only last season. And if your not confident to conclude we are bigger than Stoke, Norwich, Fulham than is it fair to say we are of similar size to them and therefore they also dont belong in the premier league?
-
So based on that would be be fair to say the club does belong in the premier league and does have the infrastructure to be there, but some of the people at the top dont or aren't able to?
-
But what criteria so you use to judge? Why are West Ham bigger?
-
And in all of these games he's done exactly what to prove that he is the man to do this?
-
Who is the bigger club. West Ham or Doncaster?
-
I am predicting this happens and will report back. Just for the record an academy player (not including Lallana) has appeared in every game this season except Fulham when we got injuries. Including bizarre subsitutions of changing the left back for an academy player when we've been losing and chasing the game in the last two.
-
Guly will come on with at least 15 minutes to go and an academy player will also appear at some point.
-
We are bigger than Fulham and Stoke. Dont you remember MLG saying we were bigger than Everton and Villa?
-
Stoke Fulham WBA Swansea Wigan Reading Norwich QPR Everton Aston Villa All current premier league clubs it's arguable that we are bigger than or this forum has told us we are bigger than. That's half the current premier league.
-
Are you kidding me? He was probably the best player on the pitch and dominated our midfield. He is exactly what we need.

I agree with all that. I actually agree with the transfer comittee and having a few peoples input as it stops a manager going off on his own and buying players their own favourites from previous clubs and it prevents new managers coming in and wanting to get rid of what is already there and bring in all their own people and really believe in the whole Football development centre idea. I am absolutely certain that Les Reed is not the man to lead it though. Sacked by The FA, sacked by Charlton and labelled the worst manager of alltime. He's never played the game at a decent level and he has no management experience of any crediblity. Steve Gerrards comments on him make interesting reading as well. "To this day, I have no respect for Reed or (fellow coach) Derek Fazackerley. I was a young lad who had never been away from home to play football before. They didn't seem to understand that not everyone can board a plane, settle in a strange hotel far from the family they love, and find it easy. In fact they made me feel like sh*t. My homesickness worsened whenever I was forced to be in their company. I felt they could have shown more care and sympathy. They were always pushing me, always telling me to buck up my ideas"

No but we can look at a few FACTs. The club has been run at a loss every year since he's been here The corporate areas are virtually empty and the product is crap -we all know this is a significant revenue generator for clubs We are going back office staff, particularly corporate and ticket office managers quicker than Waynr Rooney goes through 60 year old hoares. Faliure to retain staff is sign that people aren't happy. Sponsorship - Saying global brands want to be attached to SFC and ending up with a local IT Firm Relationships with the media. - Particualrly the echo and the infamous banning of press, which was soon back tracked on. The amount of ex players that think he's a total c*nt - not nessasarily a business issue but an idication as to how he treats people. Taking out loans despite saying we dont do debt and slagging off other clubs for spending money they dont have. Poor treatment of fans. What successful business treats their customers with the distain that SFC seem to be? The mysterious stoppage of work at the training ground. - i'll call them rumours but strong suggestions the building company are yet to be paid for works done You can piece all of these things together and it doesn't paint a very good picture. As MLT said a few weeks back, he'll get away with it whilst we are winning and the fans will sing his name, but look a little deeper and things aren't all rosy behind the scenes.
-
Did some? All i could see and hear was fans signing Nigel Adkins name.
