Emmanuel Mayuka - Officially Signed on OS - Work Permit Confirmed
Turkish replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
Not so much a test of his mental strength but is he actually as good as people think he is? We've seen him against a very poor Derby side and against a couple of average championship sides. He looked very good, but ss we all know there is a big difference between mid table championship sides premier league ones. I'm concearned how much people are building him up as some sort of star when really we have seen very little of him. -

Does this mean we are now the biggest club in Zambia and Gambia? -

What concerns me about Lee is a lot of our fans have built him up into some sort of footballing god whilst he's been injured based on a couple of decent performances in the championship. Some claiming he is going to be a big star for us. He may struggle to live up to the hypes simply because a lot are expecting so much. -
I always laugh at people who knock people who work in sales. A few of the usual up their own arse people on here do. I think, they assume it's nothing more than making 80 phone calls a day and asking people if they want to buy anything. There are a few knobs that give the job a bad name but the ones that are good at it in my industry and I mean very good, high level solution sales consultants are incredibly talented people, work very hard and a lot of them earn more than solicitors and doctors.

You crack me up Alps. On the one had on the one hand demanding new signings and the team isn't good enough the when we make them say we should stay loyal to the ones we've got! So which is it, new players or loyalty to the ones we have? -
I agree with you there, you win trophies by being able to defend, you win friends but little else by playing nice football and scoring lots of goals.

We can only do one deal at a time. We need to get moving on the next one now. -
Did Sinclair get on?

The fee mentioned with QPR was about £3.5m I think. Guess it'll be around that. -

Just seen Adkins describe him as 'lightening quick' sounds like the Zambian Jonathan Forte. -
Bore off you helmet. I'm just saying its a shame because £100k is a lot of money to a L1 club. It wasn't that long ago we were desperate for every penny we can get.
-
I have never been so insulted in my life.
-
What are you on about? I'm just pointing out that £100k Stevenage would have got is a lot of money to them, which it is. It wasn't that long ago we were desperate for a few quid so just showing a bit of empathy for clubs who need money. If it was us then I'm sure a lot on here would be going nuts at the arrogant club refusing us greatly needed money.
-
And some on here claimed we pulled our of the Buttner deal because everyone at the club suddenly realised Shaw was good.
-
Which wouldn't have mattered as we put out a reserve side. £100k is a lot of money to a L1 side.

Yep done all that, done loads of sales courses, some good some bad. I'd heard about NLP before but it was the way he said it changed his life, much more than just work that appealed.
-
Yeah, the guy i am refering to is Managing Director of one of my customers. One of the key things he said to me was always leave what he called "an anchor" something that the person you are meeting with can use to remember you by in years to come. He actually said i am already doing some of NLP without realising it. I'm in Channel sales, all i do is face to face stuff really, so very much based on relationships, which was one of the main reasons why i was interested.
-
Nurolinguistic Programming for those that dont know. What are peoples thoughts on this? Up until last week i'd thought all that sort of stuff was a load of nonsense and most people who get involved in that sort of stuff a bit wierd. However, last week i had the pleasure of meeting and spending a bit of time with a very succesful and plesant man who had trebled the turnover of his company in 6 years, £30m-£90m. He puts a lot of his success down to NLP. When he told me abit more about it it seemed to make a lot of sense and I found it all very interesting, if a little to good to be true. He assures me though that it changed his life and played a huge part in his success. So i put it out to the spazboard, what are your thought? Load of bollo*ks or life changing stuff?

Nothing to stop lee switching wings though so he could do it, or join up with RL/JR to make a second striker when attacking.
-
OKay okay, you said he would have been on our list of targets. So if he was on our orignal list of targets then why didn't we sign him permenantly in August when he was available? Why wait until after the window had shut and only get him in on loan?
-
I think Ramirez and Lallana will. From what i've seen of Lee his game seems to be based around work rate. I think he'd go missing if he was playing down the middle behind a striker. He'd be okay up front alongside Lambert of Rodriguez or out wide i think.
-
I'm going to go for a new signing. It concearns me the way people are going on about Tanadari Lee. He's still got a lot to prove and i think a lot of our fans are expecting him to be amazing and might be in for a disapointment.
