  1. I've actually agreed with you a couple of times to day Frankie boy but this is the only one i've posted on. I dont know what's wrong with, might be the start of a midlife crisis.
  2. Listen Krackers, you are wrong, i am am wrong. NA & NC know better than us and Hooliveld was always our top target. That is why we tried to sign at least 3 other centre backs first and didn't sign him permenantly in August when we could have and instead waited for the window to shut and get him on loan, it was all some cunning plan to leave us with only two fit centre backs for the first month of the season and prove how great NA and NC are at signing who we want when we want. it makes perfect sense.
  3. Fontaine failed a medical and Ward was when we were in L1 and signed Seaborne instead so nothing to do with the Hooliveld deal. Gorkss and Jemmell didn't happen for one reason or another who were the other two we know about that we were after. Believe what you want but if we wanted him that badly and rated him that highly why didn't we sign him in August on a permenant deal? As you say, lennon didn't want him so clearly he was up for sale.
  4. No, dont like 3-5-2, easily undone by quick widemen with balls in between the wing backs and centre backs. 4-2-3-1 is the way forward with 3 attacking midfielders who can rotate positions and 2 from MS/JC/SD/JWP as holding defensive midfielders.
  5. not irritating at all as that isn't what i said. You even agreed with what i actually did say!
  6. You dont half talk some sh*t. I didn't say he was like Aaron lennon at all. I said he will probably start out wide but be give licence to roam and come inside. If you check his you tube video a lot of his best work seems to come from this postion. You agreed with me as well so stop talking out of your arse.
  7. As anyone who has any ounce of knowledge on Saints last summer dealings knows, we had deals lined up fro Gorkss, Jemmel and Fountaine which all fell through, these were all permanent deals which didn't happen. clearly they had done their research and it worked out but dont kid yourself into think Jos was our first choice. If he was why try and sign the others first and why not try and get him in during the window rather than in on loan? It worked out but it we got him because we didn't get our first three targets for whatever reason and it was a gamble because he hadn't exactly been a roaring success at Celtic had he?
  8. Exactly. i might start this thead - Frank Ribery - If he was available for a knock down £7m and was within our wage bracket, £40k a week, shall we sign him?
  9. Ha Ha! I remember ringing up teamtalk when i was at work and they had announced on there that he had signed for us, then the next day he signed for Boro!
  10. Anyway back on topic. No, not if we are getting Ramirez and this fella from Young Boys.
  11. Thanks for that Mike.
  12. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! This is great news! We need a few players on drink driving bans to give us credibility as a proper premier league club. If we can clinch the signings of a couple of useless foreigners for £5m+ on £50k a week or more and make the Sun on Sunday with a spit roast allegation story we are certain to stay up.
  13. get them both on the bus FFS
  14. If we can snap up Sean Davis from Bolton that wouldn't do any harm either.
  15. DPS- dont you have a mate thats been to see him loads of times this season that can give us his opinion? Like you have with all our other targets..
  16. the other problem with retraining is the low wage you'll inveitable have to endure when you do get a job. It's all very well all the "follow your dreams" nonsense but you also have to earn a reasonable amount to have any decent standard of living in this country. No ones going to pay you any decent amount of money when it's your first job in that field and you're still learning. Personally i'd rather have a job i didn't like that enabled me to have a decent life style rather than one i loved but meant i had to live in a council flat and couldnt pay the bills. Work is a means to an end. And enjoy your job is also down to mindset. If your constantly dreaming of what might have been and whinging about how sh*t it is then you wont enjoy it.
  17. Jos was a gamble. A last minute panic buy after we'd missed out on all our other targets. Luckily for us it worked but it could have gone horribly wrong. We dont want to be in that situation again.
  18. Not DPS, he'd still be here as he only deals in FACTS and if anyone disagrees he'll slit their throat. (in a cyber sense of course)
  19. Dont be paranoid Dave. Just because you've leaped to the top of the nominations for most pointless thread of the year.
  20. And also the mileage allowance the tax man allows gives you a very nice little bonus every year if you are aware of it and claim it.
  21. Great. So a thread on a saints forum about a player that has been frozen out at Spurs. Fascinating stuff.
  22. So he plays on the left and he plays on the right. Is he comparable, perhaps favourably, with another player from the same continent as he, who plays for a club that has several connections with Southampton?
  23. Just what was missing, a thread about Tommy Fourpast!
  24. It seems like they've decided to have a clamp down now the renewals are all in and they've got their curry.
  25. What's this about your infraction points for racism Timothy?! You're no better than Dune.
