  1. Exactly. Overdone, you need to stay one step ahead.
  2. They weren't in vogue last season so, no.
  3. I agree we need a couple of experienced players as well. We certainly need a leader on the pitch. I think Green and Upson would give us that and would both be decent signings. I be surprised if we got them both though as as I said above I heard Green was off to Malaga and we weren't interested in Upson.
  4. Echo said today Upson was just a rumour and we weren't interested in him. Sounds like he's another journalist trying to be ITK and talking ******.
  5. I read the other day he wanted £45k a week and was joining Malaga who are in the champions league next season.
  6. Indeed. And I plan to enforce a strict dress code at SMS.
  7. A truely premier league wardrobe sir. Look and learn Saintsweb.
  8. Have fun. What ill fitting football shirt is it this week?
  9. It'll work better surely? According to a lot of people on here you get more time and space on the ball in the Premier League.
  10. Many people do to be fair.
  11. Unsurprisingly Colin, you are way off the mark. Stick to wearing football shirts down the pub sunshine.
  12. My greatest memory of clubcall is in 1997 they reported as FACT we had signed Alun Armstrong from Stockport for £1m only for him to unveiled the next day at Middlesbrough.
  13. We are interested as are a number of clubs. Apparantly the player would prefer to stay in London and Fulham, QPR and West Ham are also interested as are Newcastle, Stoke and Villa who have all made enquiries about him. I dont know if we or anyone else has offered him a deal or not, but i'd imagine if we do it'll happen soon. No, not naming sources.
  14. -------------------Butland Clyne --- Davies ---- Hooliveld --- Fox Jarvis---- Cork/Schniderlin/Guthie----Lallana --------Lambert---------Rodriguez FACT
  15. This is a sweetener for the Clyne deal. FACT.
  16. Read before you type you helmet.
  17. Whilst us good looking well dressed chaps take all the plaudits. Everyone is laughing at the bloated, pub oriented, scruffy, complacent goons standing in the corner watching life pass them by. The jokes on you.
  18. * spots gap in the market for football casual foam hand *
  19. So come on chaps, now we are in the premier league and going to be on the telly more, we need to dress like a premier league club. What are your fashion tips for the new season? What items are on your shopping list clobberwise? I'm certainly going to be purchasing a new winter jacket, currently eyeing some Belstaff and CP Company ones. Trainers wise i'm looking at some Adidas muchens and will no doubt pick up a pair of gazelles which are the staple trainer for the Turkish wardrobe for many years. Late summer/early autumn, i'll stick with my tried and tested, class and timeless Ma Strum or Ralph lauren polos and t-shirts with chino shorts or jeans depending on the weather and either addidas or Superga footwear. Winter it'll be my new coat with some fitted knitwear, jeans and either the above mentioned trainers or some clarks originals. What's on your shopping list for the up coming season? Any thoughts on premier league style to match what is going on on and off the pitch at our club?
  20. Big mistake whoever pulled out of the Matt Elliott deal then, he was class for Leicester.
  21. Matt Piper, completely disappeared after being very highly rated.
  22. Did exactly the same thing happen with him as it did with Elliott Ward then?
  23. That is never going to happen. He is out of contact next summer so Burnley would either want to cash in now or him to commit long term.
  24. You might think it's a strange thing to do and i actually agree with you that i dont understand why any player would join a club knowing it might be years before they break into the first team when they could play first team football at a smaller club, but that is the way of modern football sadly. Most players just want to play for the biggest clubs. As in the case of the goalkeepers mentioned above, it rarely seems to have a positive effect on their careers and it's only really Joe Hart, who has a case to be called the best keeper in the world, who seem to make it at the really big clubs.
