  1. He always had the ability, just felt he lacked a bit of confidence and was maybe comfortable playing second fiddle to Davis and needed to play regularly.
  2. The song should not be sung as it is also factually incorrect. There is a Nigel ADKINS who is IT Supervisor at Asset Acceptance in Detroit. It would be a disgrace and an embarrassment if this was sung and would show our fans to be arrogant and ignorant to assume that there couldn't possibly be another Nigel Adkins outside of Southampton FC.
  3. I want to know what a problem bramkarskiego is.
  4. Great. Booked it in for a service yesterday as well, damn thing is going to cost me a few quid next week FFS.
  5. Diesel. Saab 93 1.9 TDI. Just been googling and seen autonator faliure is a common problem with them it seems. The ABS and steering thing seems a bit wierd though.
  6. Driving home from work and just for to the bottom of the M3 when the ABS light came on and the messages 'anti lock break malfunctionction, contact dealer' the steering went really stiff, a real effort to go round a corner. When I got home I pulled up switched the engine off, went to turn it back on and it won't start, barely ticks over. Been running fine until then and had it for a year with no problems.
  7. Tis the status quo on here, no?
  8. It isn't strange for this forum as people often say on here Allerdyce and Redknapp don't have a clue despite their impressive CVs. For whatever reason it all fell apart for him at Saints and it's been downhill since but up until then he was widely regarded as one of the best managers outside of the premier league. His summer transfer dealing after our 6th finish and obsession with signing midfielders was quite frankly, bizarre. But then it's not like he's the only manager in our recent past who has entered an important season without a decent back four is it.
  9. Dont really go into town anymore, only of football days. If i do stay out usually the Alex and Pensioners.
  10. You dont half talk some nonsense.
  11. We're coming for you, we're coming for you, you dirty catalan b*stardos we're coming for you.
  12. I don't get this, the prices didn't 'shoot up' my season ticket went up £50 and is only £125 more now than when we first moved to SMS. That's an increase of only £10 a year since 2001.
  13. A classi modern football person. Not a Saints fan, a football consumer.
  14. This goes back to the old argument of if you go to watch Saints or the opposition. If you are happy to see saints be plucky, try hard losers like we were against Man U and City or of you want to see a us win a game. Most going to Arsenal just wanted to keep the score down and would have been happy with a 2-0 loss. Is that right? is that what some of you lot want. Who enjoyed the Arsenal game? Afterall some want to see the best quality of football possible and you can't deny that theirs was top notch. A lot seem to have been sold on the sky dream, that there nothing outside the premier league matters, it's all about seeing the opposition, about seeing Man U and City and these superstars coming to your town or city, you're irreverent of you're not part of it. So you lot enjoy your top quality football from the opposition and dreams of finishing 15th, for those of us that enjoy seeing Saints win, give me the championship anyday.
  15. No, it's winning the championship and refusing promotion.
  16. Nah, it's because unlike the premier league it's competitive.
  17. I don't smoke but I am partial to one of these now and again.
  18. Millions.
  19. Centros, yes. Was decent back in the day.
  20. The Cenos, Lizard Lounge, Fez Bar, Orange Rooms, Rhino era was superb, all the helmets used to go to places like Yates and Chicago Rock and leave the decent places top of town and Bedord Place to us. Now with thst place that used to be Cenos, Varsity there and a junk trying and failing to be what the Rhino it seems no where is safe to escape the bulbs in Southampton.
  21. I'm not being negative or cynical, just given the sort of person Adkins is and how we supposedly do our business, did anyone expect him to say he was worried? Its just the usual media trained, up beat stance he always take, not a fantastic positive interview which eases everyone concerns.
  22. We did bid for Phillips, I was told personally by a friend of his who has known him since he was 6. Phillips wanted the move and handed in a transfer request. Blackpool wouldn't play ball. I posted a bit about it on here at the time and got about 50 PMs asking for information. f course because he never signed it must mean it never happened and we were never interested and Nixon and everyone else is making it up.
  23. Did anyone really expect him to say he's worried about his job and he doesn't get on with the chairman?
  24. What happened to it being possible because they said once man would never walk on the moon?
  25. Must have got lucky again.
