  1. This would fit with us being the new Barcelona.
  2. I wouldn't expect you to understand.
  3. I rest my case
  4. Anyone see this? F-ck off coldplay with your mainstream nonsense, that is how to smash it. Awesome
  5. OMG, a bird in charge of the ticket office. No wonder there were so many ridiculous ticketing decisions last season. Women + football = wrong Women + football + business + decision making = cocktail for disaster.
  6. How gay.
  7. He plays down the middle he plays on the right Jack Cork makes Xavi look shi*e
  8. Please explain the basis for this. When we have only one player up front who has played regularly at this level before and he has struggled for fitness for most of the last 3 season.
  9. I think you'll find I didn't say that at all. take your head out of the clouds and the chip off your shoulder. I actually said if he had other options thee is every chance we might not even be his second choice. Unlike the clueless majority on here I don't think players are falling over the selves to join us, in this division there are other and in some cases better options. I think jack cork is a quality signing but it still doesn't make us the most attractive team outside of the premier leagues top 4 that some think we are.
  10. I may have got that wrong but the Peterborough chairman and manager and Leicester manager were all quoted as saying they expected him to sign, it looked like a done deal. I apologise for getting this one thing wrong and over estimating CMS's ambition, i wish i could always right, like yourself. St Ledger, Danns, Nugent, now Mills, all players most on here wanted. Mills will take their spending to near on £7m, not bad for a club that isn't spending.
  11. Is the star like the way international teams have for the times they have won the world cup? We are going to do our own version with one small star on the sleeve for our one Johnstones Paint Trophy.
  12. But but but, we were told the other day they aren't spending and are only signing players that weren't good enough for us? I dont understand.....
  13. This.
  14. Yes it's private property, they are within their rights to clamp. How would you feel if you got home tonight and someone had dumped their car on your front lawn and cleared off for the day?
  15. Probably because unless you parked there all day yourself, rather than just dashing in and out of the ticket office, you would have no idea how long any of the other cars had been parked there.
  16. It's more evidence of what a fantastic chairman super Nicky is though. This is clearly a subtle way to weed out the patheti, whinging elements of our fan base who are more interested in moaning that there aren't enough paper towels in the toliets to last the game than actually enjoying the football. Great work Nicky. A fantastic business and psychological move.
  17. What a complete and utter mug. Absolutely pathetic.
  18. Please explain. I was educated over the weekend as to why players will join this fantastic football club, thank you very much. We are not just a pay cheque and footballers aren't like checkout operators who will down tools and move supermarket for an extra £1 an hour you know. Players will come here for the dream, the vision, the fact their wives will love shopping at West Quay and thier kids will love living near Peppa Pig world etc etc...
  19. this season i'll be singing he stand just under 6 foot 3 Ricky, Ricky Provided we achieve promotion to the premier league within the five year plan laid out by our esteemed chairman or failing that within a suitable period that he is able to achieve this within the time frame of his career and he doesn't suffer from a career threatening injury or severe lack of form and ability which deems him no longer good enough, he'll take us to the premier league, Ricky, Ricky He wears the shirt of Keegan, Phillips, Skacel and a number of other previous number 7 shirt wearers most notable Matt le Tiss, Ricky Ricky when he gets the ball he takes the p*ss Ricky Lambert, who last season proved himself not just a goal scorer but he is equally effective as a provider and dropping deep to recieved the ball and bring others into the play, Southamptons footballing machine.
  20. Too old and a has been journeyman, we could do better.
  21. Yes it is. There are two excellent business reasons for the increased car parking charges. It's getting us fans used to paying for parking so it's not a shock in the future when the car park is full everyday when we are in the champions league. When we have thousands of tourists invading the stadium daily having their pictures taken, stadium tours, visiting the museum etc. We cant blame all our newly found over seas fans for the charges and show them bitterness and resentment, they have always been there so we will welcome them to the SFC family. It's also about perception. We have a premium product and as such must pay for it. Do you think Armani, Gucci etc would be as loved round the world by the style concious if they were priced at the same level as Next or even Primark? By charging for parking Cortese is setting us a class above all these run of the mill championsip clubs and letting us know we have a great product, something lesser clubs fans can only dream of. I say embrace the parking charges, applaud them. It's setting us apart from the majority and run of the mill.
  22. You pay to use West Quay car park to go shopping, why shouldn't you pay to use SFC car park? You dont have to park there, there are roads outside the stadium where parking is FOC. I am delighted to pay for the privilidge of using SFC car park though, contribution to the vision and future of this fantastic football club.
  23. Then with such a high demand for parking spaces it's a wonderful gesture from Cortese to only charge £1 per hour. With so many people wanting to park he could rip fans off by charging city centre prices for parking. How lucky we are to have such a fantastic and thoughful chairman.
  24. It is not mean at all, it is a fantastic piece of business.
  25. I think when our superb fans sing "he stands just over 6ft 3" i think they are talking about percetion. That he is percieved as a giant of a player and that this song reflects this. It is also be a clever tactic to confuse opposition players into thinking he is taller than he is and that we will play long balls to him so they are not expecting the ball played on the floor to him with the total football we will play under Nige next season. Well done Saints fans, yet more evidence that we are the 12th man.
