CDAJFU's Peter Clarke and Pilkington if Huddersfield dont go up Pugh if Bournemouth dont Mackaill Smith if P'Boro dont although he might go anyway Jack Cork or Micheal Mancienne Henri Lanzbury on loan from Arsenal

Neil Kilkenny, good midfield player, available on a free after leaving Leeds.

Well for one, Walcott had played in the championship, made more of an impression and was a year younger. Two Walcott was the most wanted young player in Europe at the time and could have gone anywhere so he payed the going rate it would seem. But IMO playing that sort of money for a young player who may or may not come good is mental and a big risk, Fabian Delph anyone? £8m two years ago only played 10 times for Villa and been out for a year with his cruciates. However if people will pay £10m, we'll take it.

i agree with you, but the question was how much value have they added to the players and the answer is not millions but over £150 million as well as turning some of them into world greats.
-
Anelka fee - £500k Sold for £22.3m Henry fee- signed £11m sold for e24m - after Wenger had turned him into arguably the best striker in the world at the time. Viera - signed £3.5m sold for e20m - after Wenger had turned him into one of the worlds best central midfielders So make it another £45m of "added value" just on those three players.

Dont forget Oxo has a better football brain than Theo, he's proved this against Dagenham and Redbridge and Carlise. Theo is just a sprinter who cant cross. I loved this line though "the only thing that can stop him from becoming a world great like Messi will be his own attitude, and as he hasn't showed any signs of pretentiousness as yet, I doubt that will be a problem." based on a season of playing against the mighty Gary Borrowdales of this world.

Jack Wilshire, Fabriegas, Aaron Ramsey, Clichy, Eboue, Bendtner, Song, Nasri, Diarby, not forgetting the likes of Gibbs, Lansbury & Frimpong on the fringes of the first team snf been out on loan this season. What sort of players are you expecting it to produce?
-
You are wrong Jamie, i do rate him, although it's early days, just dont rate him as much as our Nige. I was loving it when he changed the game at MK Dons because all the mugs around me were slagging him off when he came on.
-
Does it really matter? He doesn't play for us anymore, well at the moment anyway.
-
No £10m for a player with his first season just out of the way IS mental. So many players built up to be potential world beaters come through the ranks at League One and championship level and look great at that level yet never make it to the heights they were built up to. Jermaine Pennant, Gary McSheffrey, Tom Taiwo, Jason Koumas etc. For every Walcott there are 10 of these, but then Chamberlain is going to be better than Walcott as he has a better football brain and Walcott is just a sprinter who cant cross. LOL!!

He is currently mentoring Aaron Martin. Great player for him to learn off.
-
Pace to burn??? That's an understatement, he's Jonno Quick. Dont forget that incredible strength as well and his record of scoring a goal for every start he's made, it's no wonder Nige loves him.

Dyer was outstanding in the first game!! He wasn't as good last night but still played well. He is also Swanseas player of the season.
-
I agree, think he'll be snapped up in the summer by a premier league side if Reading dont go up, Depressing that the two stand out players in the championship play offs have been Nathan Dyer and Matt Mills.
-
Depends what you mean by doing anything. Was he brilliant for 90 minutes slicing the opposition open with defences splitting passes and mazy dribbles then no. On his debut against Charlton he looked good on the ball and can pass, then he got injured and disapeared for a few weeks. He played well at Plymouth as well, in a massive game. So yes, he did do something.
-
He's only played about 4 games of us FFS!!!
-
I suppose so, as long as people are deluded into thinking we are signing the likes of Jamie O'Hara and Micheal Owen they are going to be disapointed. On another note, those banging on about Morgan being unproven at Championship level, well so is Chamberlain and Lallana only has one full season there, we need to be looking to improve on these two as well in that case. FFS
-
writing him off, 21 year old lad after 4 appearances, not forgetting he got a fairly bad injury on his debut.
-
Morgan played there as an 18 year old in his first season here and did okay, he has come on leaps and bounds since then. Apart from his time with us Chaplow has played his whole career in the championship or premier league, he is a proven Championship player, who has done well at all his clubs, apart from Preston. Hammond has done a job in the championship. Stephens only played 3 or 4 times for us, you cant judge him on that but is highly rated. I dont think 2 from those 4 for central midfield is a bad choice to have and I really dont know what sort of players people are expecting us to sign.
-
why? You've got three players that have played at that level before and a very promising youngster who is wanted by Everton. I think it looks a good midfield 4, easily good enough for the Championship. Who exactly are you expecting?
-
If he has then Iniesta might be surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp, HCDAJFU.
-
I'd prefer Scott Parker to be honest.
-
What about getting Martin Cranie back? At Cov now, surely he'd be up for it, always thought he was decent. Talking of ex centre halfs Matt Mills would be quality signing but i cant see him leaving Reading even if they dont go up.
-
It'll be the micheal Owen signing. FACT.
