To @Dr Who? point about what the rules are I don’t actually know but we’re just about to go into U13s now and there will only be one girl left playing in that league next season compared to 2 years ago when most teams had 2 or more girls. The best have been picked up by local pro academies a few are in Leeds or Bradford most of the others have moved to girls teams now. U12s was the first year you notice the girls struggling more. Technically good but some of the boys who have hit puberty are giants now and look a good 3-4 years older. It’s not just the girls though my son son is small and light we have got kids in our team who weight twice as much as him so despite being technically better than most he doesn’t have the size, power or strength to compete like he did 2 years ago. The difference is with boys they’ll eventually catch up and in 2 years it’ll even out again, with girls that isn’t going to happen.

Yep particularly low shots, get a shot hard and low and it seemed to end up in the net it didn’t even need to be on target. He seems to go down very slowly for such a young keeper and even when he did get his hand to them most of the time he’d not be able to keep them out. In his time here I dont remember him ever making a save that’s won us a point or two and his command of the area and crosses is really poor

Obviously I’d rather keep him but if we get a decent loan fee for a year and we go up then he’s still our player and we keep him or don’t need to sell so can ask for a bigger fee, if we don’t go up then he’ll have played a year of premier league football he’ll have two years left on his contact so his value certainly won’t have decreased that’s for sure, even go up if he makes the World Cup squad

Kelly was hero despite being a sub, showing that the squad, tactics and substitute were absolutely spot from the manager and shows the depth in quality that they had. The point being would Kelly have been as effective if she’d starter every game, rather than used as a game changer? Possibly not, for one fatigue is a big factor in tournaments if she’d played every minute of every game would she still be putting in quality crosses late on in a final having played 3 league games and 3 120 minute knock outs in 3 weeks. Possibly not. What it did mean though was she was fresh to make a difference in tights games when it mattered and she did. it was also was a compliment to the team spirit, tactics, squad depth, good subs. All the things needed to win a tournament. Quite often the best team on paper don’t win the tournament. England men got the euro final despite being shit in every game for example.
