What players will you miss, should they leave, when we go down?
Turkish replied to Dman's topic in The Saints
None of them. Players come and go, Southampton FC is who I support not individuals -
What are you changing at Southampton football club? What difference are you making?

Only losers in life attach so much emotion to something they cannot influence

This team are more like a box of chicken nuggets, every time you get one it’s alway underwhelming and then seem to get worse with every bite to the point where by the end you’re never going to buy them again, but you do.
-
Yes we did you’re correct. Fuller and Jones up front, Tomas Haito and right back, Powell at centre back, Dennis Wise coming off the bench!
-
As things stand is this the worst result ever?
-
No wonder the players wanted Selles

Fucking hell 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ankersen reminds me of the women in these sketches

Pretty much as you say, in the hole or as an advanced midfielder. He's only going to be good in a side that dominates the ball though, not going to be one to press and hassle and he doesnt suit any system we play and doesn't seem like a player Hassenhuttl or Jones would use, so im not really sure why we signed him. in the right set up i think he'd be decent.

Aribo is actually our 4th highest scorer, which just shows how shite we are but also since he's barely played since Christmas shows he's not actually been as bad as some people think. I think there is a player in there if used properly. Bazunu for me has worked out exactly as i thought, just not ready and been a shocking signing in such a crucial position. A good keeper and two good centre halves should be the rock the team is built on, instead of that we've got a foundation even softer than sand.

bloody hell, id forgotten about that, was that Virgin Media?
-
Yes, most other clubs used to it to reward our own fans, we used it to decorate the away areas at St Marys 🤣
-
You have to wonder who is in charge of the goalkeeping situation at the club. Watson has gone and he used to get al the blame. We've gone from having Forster, McCarthy and Gunn all on big money with no clear number one to getting shot of Gunn, extending McCarthys contract and letting Forster go on a free then bringing in a player as number one who isn't any better than any of them. Now our best bet is a 41 year old who hasn't played regular football since 2014. It's an absolute shambles.

Sports Republic are so shit they cant even win the Net spend trophy and we've dominated that for years.
-
The club have treated the traditional Saints fan with distain for years. A general arrogance and dismissive attitude as they've wanted to attract rich fans in the posh seats, corporates and day trippers. Unfortunately for them a lot of this type of fans arent interested in seeing championship football, so they'll have to hope that they haven't pissed off the old school supporters too much with the way they've carried on the last 5 years or so and they come back.

Semmens and co don’t know they’re born. Any other club would have protests every home game they get a bit of moaning on social media imagine if the Liverpool or Newcastle owners blamed the fans for the crap form and told them they should be grateful
-
Moaning, entitled Saints fans. Just be grateful you're in this league. Get along and watch the ladies, they are the priority at this club.

We've basically been a poor mans Chelsea. Spending and spending on random players, no real system or plan other than sign a load of kids and hope it works. we've signed 3 wingers in two windows and it doesn't look like we're now playing with wingers, two strikers neither of which seem to be able to stick the ball in the net, a right back who was obviously the mate of a manager who was sacked a few games later, a midfielder who looks like he has something but now cant get in the team. A centre back who couldn't wait to leave, left did shite and is now back as first choice over the guy signed to replace him, who also cant get into the squad. It's an absolute shambles.

Has Lowe written not one but two books with 4.5 star ratings on Amazon?

Sounds very familiar

I agree. Forster wasn’t great but he could occasionally have wonder games where he was unbeatable and also pulled off saves you wouldn’t expect him to make. Forster is probably about our level, a bottom half premier league keeper, at the moment Bazunu is no where near that level
-
Honestly, I don’t see a premier league keeper in there. He might go on to become one but right now he looks miles off it. He reminds me of Gazzaniga when he was thrust into the first team when he was here because it quickly became apparent that Davis wasn’t good enough. Despite being highly rated in league one was no where near ready for the premier league and pretty much every shot on target went in, much like now.
