Any player worth having will want to join a forward thinking modern club leading the charge for diversity. How inspired would you be as a potential new employ to see a white board pitch from Semmens about our sustainability and diversity policies to name but a few. You won’t get that from Karen Brady

It’s my mission to get them to answer me as to why they aren’t also in the men’s toilets

Hopefully the free tampons in the ladies loos won’t fall foul of cost cutting when we are relegated

It’s alright buying ones for the future but there is also the small issue of now that needs to be dealt with as well -

£6m apparently. Not a lot of money on the grand scheme of things but a lot when you already have a left back and two YHGTIers in that position plus £6m less to go towards the elusive striker everyone except Rasmus knows we need. Maybe he’ll be the new Roberto Carlos. -
Light shows have been done. I’m buzzing to see what Mr Boss has in store for us for the rest of the season.
-
We’ve brought in a new director of football and an excitingly a new commercial officer. I for one have never been more excited.

Soon we will have two in the top 5 https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/worst-10-premier-league-managers-22173739

I agree. We’ve been crap for 4 1/2 of the last five season. A few weeks ago on a thread it was discussed that there can’t be many teams that have won fewer games than us in the last 5 years in all 4 divisions, we couldn’t find any. Our home form has been awful in that time. At least in the 90s we weren’t too bad at home. As you say in 2022 we were the the 90th worst team in the country for results. When you factor the cost along with general distain the club seem the long term fans in the it’s a surprise so many carry on going

The first couple of years werent too bad. Redknapp was never going to stick around but it really didn’t help Lowe didn’t give him any money to spend. under Burnley for the first 18 months we were okay, got to the play offs and blew it in typical saints heroic failure style. It was after that things went into a tail spin. we went shit or bust to go back up and almost did go bust. Burley lost the plot signing loads of crap. Poortlevelt was a joke, playing a load of kids was never going to work so mental that they’ve tried this approach again!

Honestly no. From a football point of view it’d be better. Not going into a third of the games a season hoping we can keep the score down, we’ll win more games, no premier league bullshit. I know the geeks will go on about the standard of football not being as good and the financial impact. Our premier league consumers will moan about not getting to play against great sides with world class players but I don’t really care about that. The only sad thing is that as was said on other threads good people behind the scenes at the club will lose jobs they love. Sadly like things when a company underperforms it’s often those that didn’t cause the issues that are the ones that pay for it with their jobs.

Why? He talks a lot of sense.

what do you think the point is? It’s a forum a place for discussion No I didn’t. In simply pointing out that an ex England international has said Diallo was brilliant yet every time I looked in this thread during the game people were saying how shit Diallo was. Who is right?
-
Soooooo Diallo has been absolutely slated on here yet Micheal Dawson has just said him and Lavia were brilliant breaking things up. who is right, the former England international or the people thumping away at their keyboards watching it on a stream?

Stelling said we lack urgency. Sums the club up top to bottom

The old Whelk superiority complex on fire this morning I see!
-
Why would he? He’s having a great time playing every week, scoring in a winning team with a good chance of winning something.

Went out for dinner, had two lime and sodas then a morretti with my dinner. That was all. Everyone else must have had 4-5 each. I drove which was happy to do and offered to do so and honestly after the first couple of sips of the beer could have taken or left it. I’m up ready to go to the gym, missus T still in bed as she had another one when we got home. Out again this evening with some other friends and kids, I’ll drive again and probably won’t even bother with one this time. next week is going to be challenging as in the US for work all week. These things are typically quite boozy.

Be plenty of fans doing that if things don’t get better

Why are we so obsessed with left wingers? Even got one running the show now.

Me too, i had 4 wines over two days last weekend, but that's been in. Also been eating better saw a nutritionist 3 weeks ago and she told me where i am going wrong, not enough carbs and protein and not eating enough to support exercise so not recovering properly, she upped my calories by about 400 a day and changed macros I feel so much better and it two weeks despite eating a fair bit more have lost 1.5 kilos. Just back from the gym for a lunchtime crossfit class and felt like superman today.

A lot of similarities. Endlessly negative, if there is a list of players we could be in for always suggesting the one which is the most unrealistic as the one we have to get, only appears on a match day when we lose. alpine was funny though, his threads were good. My favourite post was when he put some utter bollocks on then tried to pretend his kid had logged into his account and posted it whilst he had gone down downstairs

Someone i know has been to doctors over the last six months suffering from all sorts of illnesses, fatigue, has taken loads of time of sick and is currently on a work sabbatical for two months to work on their mental health. The person claims to be exercising regularly (walking or jogging slowly) and eating healthily but also claims to have no energy to go to the gym and generally always feels unwell so there must be something seriously wrong with them. The doctor has put them on several pills of some description. I have recently discovered i have access to this persons myfitnesspal diary so i had a little stalk last night. Now unless this person is putting fake information into what they think is a private diary this person appears to be drinking 4-6 cans of stella per day, more on a weekend, a typical food diary for the day consists of a couple of slices of white bread with butter for lunch, maybe a small salad and a relatively normal tea, chicken, tuna with a few sides however they are typically getting about 1600 calories with about half it coming from cans of stella. Now two points here, is this person so seriously thick that they cant see what the issue is? Secondly WTF is the doctor doing putting them straight on pills when someone like me, who has a reasonable idea about health and fitness but not a healthcare professional can easily see what the issue is?

Where has this mantra that Dragon has put more in as well? I saw something that said there had been an additional £8m put in to cover operational costs, unless i've missed something that's a huge injection of cash to fund a new striker.

How are they in Austria pal?
