  5. yep the first season i got into it was 1984 and the year we finished second and got the semi final, grew up hearing all about 76 and 79 finals and European trips, thought it was always going to be like that......
  6. actually you're right found this https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/southampton-fc_coventry-city/index/spielbericht/2563215
  7. weren't we 4-0 up at half time in the 5-5? I was remember the 8-2 but i was very young and my first game wasn't until a year later but it was that season i got into football.
  8. who remembers the 5-5 draw v Coventry in the early 80s? The following season we beat them 8-2 at the Dell with Steve Moran and Danny Wallace both getting hattricks.
  9. Their centre back Liam Kitching is from where i live now and trained for years at the futsal club my son goes too.
  10. Haye was a proper boxer though, Paul is a loud mouth youtuber who lost to Tommy Fury.

  17. They could probably get the FA to fast track them into some sort of program. There’s a lack of teachers at the moment so sure they could find away, even if they just did PE in Schools quite a few towns out source that to lower league football clubs and all you need are a few sports qualifications. Or there football clubs and private academies are screaming out for coaches. They could become PTs like my mate does who played northern league, similar level, he never moans about Harry Kane earning more than him.
  18. The lessers could probably get jobs in diversity and inclusion to supplement their income, that’s the gravy train to be on at the moment with jobs in government paying £70-£80k. Being public sector they’ll get Flex Time and do fuck all so won’t interrupt with their training. Or they can go into teaching if they want a part time job
  19. Let’s remember Jake Paul lost to Tommy Fury who is more famous for being on love island than supposedly being a boxer. It’s all a bit sham. It’s the equivalent of hashtag United suddenly becoming a world class football team and holding their own against Real Madrid and Man City in staged friendlies and everyone saying how amazing they are. Most people would see it for what it is, but sadly all these kids lap it up because it’s a YouTuber
  20. I agree. It’s a farce. It’s tragic boxing has come to this, used to be a great sport

  24. another one i forgot about was when we beat Man United 6-3 and they changed their shirts at half time. Great day. I think you're right his name was Ben, he was on First Dates recently. He never mentioned waving his Chelsea shirt in the direction of the DEF when he spoke to his date, which surprised me
  25. Good shout. That was very much a benchmark day for us as a club as this is when the era of the match day experience really started to kick off. An era defining moment which i cant believe i missed to be honest. I think there was also a firework display before kick off which paved the way for the awesome light shows we now enjoy. We always have been very much leaders in the match day experience tables. IIRC the singer of CKTC had a Chelsea shirt on underneath his top and pulled his jumper up to show it towards the Milton end as they left the pitch.
