its a bit of a strange one because it's based on the top 6 now not when they were playing. Leeds were champions when Speed and Batty played for them, as were Blackburn with Batty. Newcastle were also a top team for a while in the mid 90s challenging for the title, breaking the world transfer fee and playing champions league football so its not quite great players at small clubs as the title suggests. EIther way i hope Matt wins.

I don’t think much was expected from him, a free transfer from wolves and Dave Jones didn’t have a great track record with signing Centre backs. Plus fans were annoyed that Ken Monkou has been allowed to leave. From his first few games though you could see he was quality. Tragic he died so young. I was at the pre season friendly where Almedia played and he did look very good, surprising he never got more game time.
