  1. Squad rather then team, he only played 3 times.
  2. Correct, part of arsenals title winning team in 98, considered a very good signing, was anything but.
  3. I should also have said he was part of a premier league winning squad When we signed him.
  4. I’d forgotten he existed, but no.
  5. No...
  6. Who was the centre back saints signed who made just two first team appearances, scoring an own goal in each with an aggregate loss of 0-7 in the two matches he played?
  7. Man city
  8. Leicester
  9. Yes and i think we are one of them
  10. Yep. He also won us a penalty by virtue of the fact he was so slow he had a ten yard head start on Sol Campbell 30 yards out but still got caught and then threw himself on the floor at the slightest contact. What a signing!
  11. I expect if his missus ever does he will immediately cease the operation and give a lecture about where the orgasm come from, an invisible deity which does not exist or the immense sexual prowess of MLG.
  12. if only football was played on spreadsheets this might be valid......
  13. I think this is correct, but he doesn't qualify under the "raised in Southampton" category as he moved to Winchester when he was a young.
  14. Correct.
  15. It’s good but it’s not right, don’t think Roberts ever played for saints either
  16. raised in Newbury born in Stanmore Not Ings
  17. As I’m sure I’m right I’ll crack on the next one Which player born, raised in and and played for Southampton has the most England caps?
  18. Alf Ramsey
  19. Because morally its shameful that there are players at clubs earning millions of pounds a year paid for by the public since football began whilst the the clubs wont pay £30k a year to back office staff and are asking the government to bail them out. The government is basically subsiding two of the world richest football clubs, that doesn't sit well with me.
  20. correct, both were born in Germany to parents serving in the armed forces and went onto play for Saints at the same time, Taylor for N Ireland and Nielsen for wales.
  21. Barcelona players take 70% pay cut Juventus players take 4 month wage deferal Tottenham and Newcastle players do nothing but their clubs put back office staff on furlough within a couple of weeks Of course clubs have every right to take advantage, my point is that having been awash with cash and rinsing every last penny out of their fans for years maybe clubs and players have a moral obligation to give something back at time, you obviously dont think they do, fair enough. #thepeoplesgame
  22. in the 90s saints squad contained two German born players who both won international caps but not for Germany. Who are they are for a a bonus points which countries did they play for?
  23. Nathan Dyer
  24. It's not the players that are being furloughed though, it's all the back office staff.
  25. I would certainly agree that companies with very high earners have an obligation to support those less well off. Everyone says people should be glad to get 80% and it a brilliant offer from the government, but it wasn't meant for people earning £100s of thousands a year to keep their incomes at the expense of those less well off.
