Does anyone remember years ago a poster called pink scarf? Someone pretending to be a woman going on about her and the girls trips.
-
Same old story.
-
That’s the one. They were all good in the their own way. I can’t remember all the details but I think There was some sort of falling out when Darren set that up, there were definitely a few bitter articles in TUI at the time.

Why can’t saints pay £30-£40m for a player? Watford, Palace, Newcastle, West Ham, wolves and Leicester can Even the likes of Villa, Fulham, Brighton and Bournemouth have a bigger record transfer fee than us

Course it was Hulse Road not the Maple leaf after the first one and captains corner pub. Got a few hundred at least to those meetings, with no internet or mobile phones it was all arranged at matches. First one I remember hardly being able to see the anything as was right up the back, bit chant of “we want branfoot out” at the end. TUI and On the March were two great fanzines, I seem to remember a bit of a falling out and a few articles having a at Darren Wheeler when he set up his one, the name of which escapes me.
-
I also heard that about the porn film and charity shop ??
-
Sadly not, although I knew quite a few who were I went to a lot of the early SISA meetings at the pub oxford street area which was packed and then the maple leaf. All to do with the Branfoot our campaign. That was good.

Him and Nick are good guys and meant well, some of the others used it as an ego trip
-
I don’t think he’s even a saints fan, think he supports Man United
-
Wasn’t he a weird one that had never been to a game and was obsesssed by stats?
-
SISA was great at first and served its purpose, it was when it went all weird doing things like storming a fans meeting throwing 30 pieces of silver it got embarrassing.

Remember this? “Ian has done a tremendous job. It’s very rare I’m lost for words but I saw the statue last week and it’s awesome a tremendous tribute to the great man, fans have waited a long time for this and it’s fantastic” said Dave Ford chairman of the red bates trust. One of my favorite ever quotes, shortly followed by Saints trust chairman Steve Godwin “The purchase of 1885 shares in Southampton leisure holdings by the saints trust is a major step forward for all fans of Southampton football club. It gives the average fan on the terrace a voice in the way the club is run. Right now the voice is only a whisper but in time it will grow to a roar” Back then we had it all, along with Keiths trip to Sweden, Steve Grants regular interviews named as “top saints fan” some many fan groups, so many attention seekers in a power struggle to be a fan on the board or to lead a new wave of fans groups it really was a wonderful time to be alive with a real hope that one day one of us might get a seat on the board.

I don’t know about freebies but think He got invited on a preseason tour with Micheal Wilde.
-
Yep that’s it, I would have been on that flight too along with Mrs Turkish and Mrs Essruu

Colin Graves and his 10 foot high kick.

Think that was the old Saintsforver, network 54 with Keith Legg. I remember he had skate bashing page, stories about scraps with Pompey over the years, when saintsforever went more mainstream he deleted it. IT was definitely a lads site with some proper funny stuff on there. It was the move to St Marys when al the geeks came along and took over, starting to have their seating plans so they could all wave at each other during games, dinlows.

He’s a good lad, posts on TUI now and again as cocklebreath.
-
Likewise. I don’t think we’ve ever met, but I know who you are, think we have a fair few mutual acquaintances
-
If it was Morocco 10 years ago then may have been me too! We went to Marrakech for a week together back then.
-
Im sure Bale will look back on his 7 years at the worlds biggest club, 4 champions league medals, 3 world club cup medals, la liga medal and what is likely to be over 100 international caps and think he's wasted his potential
-
Although he did get a knock on the head at palace was down for a while. I think the rules are that they aren’t allowed to play for so many days after a head injury so might be true
-
He’s still about although doesn’t post any where any more I think. Just set up his own business in LA. Top bloke, still doing his dog training and playing a good standard of football too, must be nearly 60 now and looks fit at a fiddle, guess that’s what no drinking healthy lifestyle does for you! We used to meet up when he was over but since I moved away only seen him once when we played in Arnhem.
-
Completely agree, we should bite Leicester’s hand off and get rid. He’s had 18 months and proven he’s not good enough. Get off the wage bill and even if we can’t get anyone in we’d have to be very unlucky to be without 2 of our 3 centre backs for any lengthy period for the rest of the season. Worst comes to worst Danso surely can’t be that bad can he? He’s played regularly in Germany.

The b-anter forum was the best website ever. Properly funny, that was run by Essruu with some contributions from a great poster called Paul Allen, I wonder what happened to him? Romsey Stu came back as Dave Benson-Phillips, his wangy eye story was brilliant, went to have an operation to correct it and it went gamy. I seem to remember he got on well with Dell days
