If anyone can turn him into the new Cafu Ralph can!
-
I just checked in with my 66 year old spurs mate, he said he’s terrible, he went to see him play in a league cup match last year and he scored and own goal, gave away a penalty and got sent off. He said he’s a young Alexi Cherednik.
-
Well i spoke to a female Leeds United fan today and she’s promised to slut drop in thong And Leeds shirt the office if they go up. She’s not afraid of the toxic masculinity of talking about football over a cup of herbal tea whilst doing lasts weeks expenses.
-
I asked my spuds supporting mate about him and she said if he’s coming to us on loan she’d drive him here herself and she doesn’t even have a car! PMSL
-
You're right actually, he was another one. I think we were very confident in signing him when we were in the championship but he chose Leicester.
-
I don't know much about him other than 3 or so years ago he was very highly rated and tipped to be the long term successor to Kyle Walker after he joined Man City. It hasn't happened for whatever reason and doesn't seem like he can get a game at Spurs. Be interesting to see how he does with a run of games in a team
-
Who had also played for England and in a champions league final
-
Maddison and McGuire, who were the other two? it perhaps says something when you're constantly missing out on players to the same club,
-
Leicester have spent a fortune, £350m since the start of 2016, yes they've made some great signings, Maddision and Evans for £3m was a blinding deal, but they've wasted a lot too, Slimani, Musa, Ineacho, Silva to name but 4 big money signings costing nearly £100m who have done nothing for them. Just adds to the point that saints aren't the only club who make bad signings on big wages yet we are the only club who has to sell to buy.
-
Yep, that’s about the size of it. Not the sort of thing anyone would do by choice. I’m sure people will still deny it’s true though.
-
Keeping a good one is also cheaper than sacking a crap one too.
-
He obviously means Watson.
-
He didn’t. He went to Bayern as assistant analyst coach, not assistant manager which he was at saints. The job is at lest two levels down from the one he had here.
-
Also a Great example of gullible fans falling for the clubs PR machine.
-
Do the players all still hate Ralph and think he’s arrogant?
-
You haven’t misunderstood. Rohls job at Bayern is two if not more levels down from the one he had at saints and Leipzig. He’s assistant analyst coach or words to that effect. people will argues he’s gone to one of the biggest clubs in the world but it’s a massive step back in his career. Some people just don’t like the to hear the truth.
-
Neither, it wasn’t anything like that or illegal (well I don’t think it is) but the sort of thing that would get you fired from most companies if caught. Stupid thing to do too
-
I was told Rohl leaving was not his decision, the Bayern job came a month or so after he had already left but had not been announced yet. Think I may have posted it on here a few months ago, definitely did on TUI and of course everyone knocked it saying it was just a coincidence that he went to Bayern. I won’t say what he did but it is a sackable offence in most organisations
-
Andy Durman. He had a very high opinion of himself.
-
Got 18 months left. You’d hope they’re already speaking to him about an extension.
-
Does anyone remember years ago a poster called pink scarf? Someone pretending to be a woman going on about her and the girls trips.
-
Same old story.
-
That’s the one. They were all good in the their own way. I can’t remember all the details but I think There was some sort of falling out when Darren set that up, there were definitely a few bitter articles in TUI at the time.
-
Why can’t saints pay £30-£40m for a player? Watford, Palace, Newcastle, West Ham, wolves and Leicester can Even the likes of Villa, Fulham, Brighton and Bournemouth have a bigger record transfer fee than us
-
Course it was Hulse Road not the Maple leaf after the first one and captains corner pub. Got a few hundred at least to those meetings, with no internet or mobile phones it was all arranged at matches. First one I remember hardly being able to see the anything as was right up the back, bit chant of “we want branfoot out” at the end. TUI and On the March were two great fanzines, I seem to remember a bit of a falling out and a few articles having a at Darren Wheeler when he set up his one, the name of which escapes me.
