  1. Do you think Howe is the right fit? Seems like another nice guy, we’ve plenty of those on the pitch. We need an inspirational figure, a proper leader, Ralph has been that guy in the past but something isn’t right now. It’s not like no one is trying or the players have downed tools, or even they aren’t good enough. The trouble is I can’t think of any better that would come here.
  2. First game an FA Cup quarter final at Dean Court?
  3. We are due a good result v neverton. The boys will be like wounded tigers. Everton won’t want to face us on this for, of the back of a good win themselves. 2-0 Everton.
  4. Great BBC there to see our improved form continue with will set us up nicely for the new forest derby v Bompey (LOL) the following weekend.
  5. Which might suit him, part of the reason for their decline is supposedly his inability to handle some of the egos of big signings. That said I don’t see him as anything better than Ralph. Ralph ain’t going anywhere anyway, he’s got the full support of the board and we can’t afford to sack him.
  6. He wasn’t out thought by Steve Bruce. Their 3 goals came from 3 cock ups, with 10 and then 9 men they simply stuck everyone behind the ball and defended well and we weren’t good enough to break it down, it was hardly a work of tactical genius.
  7. Okay so when you mentioned Redmond along with others who could play in central midfield to stem the tide, then going on to claim that any midfielder should be able to do the job of another midfielder just as affectively as they're all proffesional footballers what you really meant you were just listing our midfield players. Got it. Not sure why you've argued to toss about it for nearly a day then if that's all you were doing.
  8. What amazing run of results? THey've only won 4 of their last 15 league games. Up until they beat us there wasn't much between us in terms of sh1te form
  9. He was one of your suggestions to play centre midfield to "stem the tide" when the game was going against us yesterday. Even 16 or hours later it sounds utterly ridiculous, but i guess you know that.
  10. Great, glad we agree there isnt any evidence and that the two incidents to tried to link are completely unrelated. Well done Timmy.
  11. Where is your current evidence they are football fans?
  12. We actually agree. You seem to have come round to the idea that Redmond in central midfield is absurd, Well done.
  13. What has that got to do with the other incidents?
  14. Until there is evidence i will reserve my judgement, unlike some people.
  15. There isnt any evidence they are football fans, whilst what you say might is true at the moment its just an assumption.
  16. Any evidence they are football fans?
  17. Now who is twisting their words. You suggested Redmond could play centre midfield to “stem the tide” you then further embarrassed yourself by saying all midfielders should be able to play any midfield role. You could just admit you were wrong rather than behaving like a drunk embarrassed by the stupid things they’d said the previous night.
  18. Not twisting anything pal, one of your suggestions was to put Nathan Redmond central midfield. Your words, no one elses. Not surprised your pretending you didn't say it though
  19. Weirdly i have a very good memory of those seasons, probably because football was my life back then, these days i cant even remember our result from a month ago.
  20. Bet they're hoping we play Nathan Redmond in centre of midfield.
  21. 88/89 we was the season we ended the 20 odd games without a win with the last minute penalty v Newcastle. We beat West Ham at home first game, it was the same season Cockerill got his jaw broken at Arsenal with them equalising in the 8th minute of injury time. we also drew away in both cups then lost both replays 2-1 after extra time. Following season we finished 7th, got knocked out of the FA cup at Liverpool after beating spurs away easily. Season after we went back to being crap I don’t think it was a really long run of winless games but a few times 4-5 games without a win, we’d win one then go again, few good results but some terrible ones as well, remember we lost 6-2 away to all ready relegated Derby right at the end of the season, Nichol got sacked a few weeks later and Rod Wallace went to Leeds. Branfoot came in and the rest we know.
  22. Remember 88/89. Top after a few games, playing good football then we went on a 20 match winless run from November to April, we weren’t playing that badly but just kept losing. This feels exactly like that. In that run we got a last minute penalty at home to Newcastle to hand us a 1-0 win, we ended up finishing the season fairly well, the following season we were brilliant and finished 7th with one of the best saints teams I’ve ever seen.
  23. It’s not he’s not good enough, he just isn’t a defensive midfielder, much like Kevin De Bruyne isn’t. Unlike some on here being a midfield player doesn’t mean each of them all have exactly the same qualities and can play any midfield position.
  24. I’m not the one Suggesting we move an attacking midfielder into a defensive midfield role, but don’t because he’s not defensive, and move a midfielder from his position to right back and change formation to accommodate all this hoping it’ll work because we don’t know it won’t unless we try it, sounds like you’re over complicating things to me.
  25. How is it you expect defenders not to be able to fill gaps but midfielders can? Kevin De Bruyne and Jordan Henderson are both midfielders, doesn’t mean they do the same job
